CMICR History
• 1988, Mary Hannah proposed the development of a perinatal research program
• Funded in 1990 • Designated as the University of Toronto
Perinatal Clinical Epidemiology Unit (PCEU)

• 1995, PCEU became the first component of The Centre for Research in Women’s Health, at Women’s College Hospital (WCH)
• Continued with the amalgamation of Sunnybrook and WCH under the umbrella: Maternal, Infant and Reproductive Health Research Unit (MIRU)
