Prayer of Invocation/Confession Holy and Redeeming Lord, as we
worship, immerse us in Your love and
teach us to live like Christ. We want to
worship, and live like Christ, until that
day when His glory will be fully
revealed in us! You are the Potter, O
God, and we are clay. Shape Your clay,
today, according to Your will. Make us
kind. Make us courageous. Make us
forgiving. Make us loving. Make us eager
to serve. In all things, teach us. We call
upon Your name and we are waiting for
Your word. We take comfort in knowing
You are near. Thank You for the Holy
Spirit. Descend upon us, is our prayer.
Amen.
May the Lord give strength to His people!
May the Lord bless His people with
peace! Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly
beings, ascribe to the Lord, glory and
strength.
Enter His Gates With Praise Page 2
OFFERTORY PRAYER O God, we pray many prayers, for many
causes, and we thank You for hearing us.
Now, we pray one more prayer; that You
would grant us grace to give our tithes,
mission gifts and sacrificial offerings, so
that Your name will be glorified and
people will be blessed. Thank You for
another chance and may we seize these
moments, in such a spirit of gratitude and
worship, that we all might be blessed.
May our faith be deepened and Your name
glorified, again and again. Amen.
He sent redemption to his people; he has
commanded his covenant forever. Holy
and terrible is his name! The fear of the
Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good
understanding have all those who practice
it. His praise endures forever!
Psalm 119:9-10

Quotes from Max Lucado's book...Out LIVE Your Life...
Pentecost makes this promise: if you are in Christ, God's Spirit will speak
through you. Let God unshell you. And when he does, "make careful
exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then
sink yourself into that” (Gal. 6:4 MSG). Don't miss the opportunity to
discover your language. "God has given us different gifts for doing certain
things well" (Romans 12:6 - NLT).

The H.U.G.S. (Healing Under God’s Spirit) Ministry would like to remind you
that October is NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. Ladies
if you have not had your annual mammogram as yet, this month would be a
good time to schedule one. For everyone, please be sure to stop by the
information rack in the lobby and pick up some of the educational materials.
Remember we are all co-survivors of someone we know that has been touched by
breast cancer.
“Grief Tool Box”
October 2014
This month’s focus is on developing and/or maintaining a healthy grieving regimen. Read and commit to the suggested grief tools below.
1. Choose an exercise you will enjoy that will increase your heart rate like walking.
Remember before you begin any exercise consult your doctor to discuss which activity is best for you. If you are already exercising, you may want to increase the intensity by setting new goals for yourself.
2. Drink water. It’s important during bereavement to drink plenty of water to stay healthy. Your body is about 60 percent water and needs plenty of replenishment. While you are grieving your focus is on your inward feelings and you may not feel thirsty. Remember, to drink at least five eight-ounce cups of water daily. Remember to help those you love to do the same.
3. Laugh. Humor is one of the most healing gifts of humanity. It helps to restore hope and assists us in managing the pain of grief. Laughter helps us feel peace in both mind and body. Close your eyes right now. Try to visualize the smile and laughter of the person who died.
Scripture
“The Lord of host is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge”. Psalm 46:7
Prayer Dear Lord, help me to take care of my body and my spirit while I am mourning. I desire
to feel better although I am full of sorrow. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
