Claudius ThermeDo you need a break from your daily routine? In the heart of Cologne’s Rheinpark you’ll find the Claudius Therme, known as one of the finest thermal spas in Europe.

With healthy spa-water, large pool and sauna areas, gardens, restaurant, massage, physiotherapy and beauty treatments, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a relaxing day.

Unique and certified: Our thermal mineral water comes from the subterranean lake of Laach. We extract it as a 3% saline solution with our very own system of wells.

Taken as a drinking cure it helps fight gastro-intestinal disorders. As a spa health cure it helps relieve rheumatic complaints and may alleviate disc and joint problems. It has a positive effect on high blood pressure, cardio-vascular disorders as well as stress-related illnesses. Also, it stimulates enzymes and strengthens bone structure.

We also offer free water gymnastics. In the evenings and at weekends, we have underwater music sessions using lights, colours and sounds to bring you a lasting feeling of inner peace.

Uniquely stunning:The salt-water floating pool in the Rose Terraces. Enjoy the feeling of weightlessness accompanied by underwater music and soothing light effects in a 15 % brine solution that has been enriched with Dead Sea salt.

The sauna areaExplore a world of spa culture. Our three large spa areas offer a wide range of sauna types and treatments, indoors and out: beautifully tiled steam rooms, rustic outdoor cabins housing traditional Finnish saunas with various infusions, a Russian Banya as well as a rare and particularly hot earth sauna. Enjoy the view of Cologne cathedral from our panorama sauna, or enhance your complexion with an Oriental Seraglio bath.

The restaurantOur eau de cologne restaurant‘s menu is all about health and pleasure too. Light meals such as warm spinach salad, goat‘s cheese salad, fresh vegetable stir-fry, a dish of the day, a breakfast buffet, tasty cakes and various sweets excite your taste buds and make you feel good.

A section of our restaurant is open to the public. You are welcome to visit the restaurant and make yourself comfortable on the sun deck without going for a swim.

Rose TerracesWe have recently restored some beautiful 1950s Rose Terraces and included them and further gardens in the spa surroundings. A large infusion sauna, an outdoor swimming pool, the salt-water floating pool, more sun decks, quiet rooms and a lounge with a striking glass front give plenty of extra space in which to relax.

On Mondays the indoor sauna area is reserved for female guests. The sauna village and the rose terraces are open to everyone.

DirectionsFollow the signs to ‘koelnmesse’ (trade fair). From here follow the ‘Thermalbad’ signs. Our car park offers plenty of parking. Public transport users should head for ‘Köln-Deutz’ station (Bahnhof Köln-Deutz). From there take the no. 150 shuttle bus to Claudius Therme.
