Welcome back to the fifth edition of our school Newsletter. We are nearly at the end of the first cycle of our face to face sessions for those of you that have returned to school, and I hope that you have found it good to be back . These sessions will be continuing to the end of this term for English and Maths and please remember, work for other subjects is still being added to SENECA. It is important to check school emails every day in order to stay on top of deadlines. You may be getting work sent to you by another subject teacher – please do not worry. Some subjects are moving into setting work in line with the year 11 curriculum in order to deliver new content. We are looking at setting up Google classrooms for delivery of subject matter but you will be sent details and information on this in due course. There is a new Seneca classroom login for RS. If you have not already joined an RS class to complete work, please add the classroom using the following code - ibsd8z4mq3. I am in the process of setting up a zoom meeting for an assembly next week as a way of connecting with as many of you as possible. This will be form group based and the time and login details will be emailed to you early next week. Whilst students continue to work from home, it is important to remember that our whole-school values remain un- changed. I am sure all of us have been both shocked and upset by the murder of George Floyd in the United States. At a challenging time, when we are not physically together as a school community, it is more important than ever to remain united and continue to reinforce and uphold our values of commitment, pride and success towards one another. To do this please join us in this newsletters challenge by creating a poster for anti- racism or visit http://archive.teachfind.com/ttv/www.teachers.tv/videos/show- racism-the-red-card.html to hear Premier League footballers talk about their ex- periences of racism and outline what racism is and what effects it can have. I hope that you will all be able to login – it will be nice to see your little faces, Ive missed you. Stay safe and look after each other.
