INNOVATION FOR TRADITIONAL SPACED3
D3 (D-Orbit Decommissioning Device) is
an independent, smart propulsive
device available for all satellite
platforms operating in LEO, MEO, GEO,
specialized in decommissioning
maneuvers to remove the hosting satellite
from the operational orbit in a quick,
direct, and controlled way at the end of
the mission or in case of major
malfunction.

D-RAISE
D-Raise is a device conceived for the new
generation satellites implementing only
electric propulsion system on-board and
able to speed-up their transfer maneuver
from parking orbit to operational orbit. By
speeding up the transfer maneuver from
parking orbit to operational orbit, D-Raise
allows anticipated revenues for the satellite
operator and prevents deterioration of solar
arrays due to a long exposure to radiations.

Launch: 23rd June 2017
Goal: In-orbit demonstration of D-Orbit’s technology for satellite decommissioning
Description: D-SAT is a fully implemented zero-single-point-of-failure and full redundant architecture miniaturized satellite. D-Sat is composed by a platform (a standard Cubesat system) and by a decommissioning device
Result: Proof of the competitive advantage of D-Orbit decommissioning devices over space orbital solutions
D-Sat Mission
Launch: Q4 2013
Goal: Qualification of the D-Orbit’s Brain and the Safe and Arm Device against the ECSS standards
Description: The device had the ability to transmit from a receiving station sets of data related to the state of the deorbiting device and of the satellite host. Moreover, it can activate a simulated ignition of the deorbiting device following the reception of a command from a transmitting station.
Result: Alice 2, integrated into UniSat-5 and launched in Low Earth Orbit, successfully passed the qualification and acceptance tests
Alice2 Mission
The company invest in R&D projects to investigate new concepts, validate and qualify the hardware in space. Moreover D-Orbit protects its proprietary technology through registration of patents worldwide
Date: 24th Sept 2018
Goal: Qualification of modular dispenser for ION launches and single small satellite launchers
Description: D-PODs are innovative dispensers for release in orbit of small satellites. D-PODs can fly into D-Orbit ION platform or even be used in “single mode” to be installed directly into the launchers.
Result: Full qualification according to space standard plus successful zero gravity drop tests
D-POD Qualification
CUSTOMIZATION INNOVATION FOR TRADITIONAL SPACE
Our products are available for every class of
satellites and every standard configuration can be
tailored upon our clients’ specific requests.
From adding a redundancy switch to modifying the
size of the motor to reach the desired dc, and
everything in between.
