Located in EMS on the 2nd floor The EMS building labs are:

– E270 ASCII and X-terminals running UNIX– E280 PC’s running Windows– E285 PC’s running Windows

All of the departmental machines are connected to the internet.

Undergraduate Lab Sites

EMS E270 – Open 24 hours EMS E280 – Open 24 hours EMS E285 – Open 24 hours, student ID required The Building closes in the evening but one door

in the parking garage has a card reader. Labs are closed on July 4th, Thanksgiving,

Christmas, and New Year’s Holidays (posted).

Lab Reserve Times

At times, labs are reserved for use by CS classes.

Students working in the lab who are not members of the class may be asked to leave.

The reserve schedule is usually posted on the door of the E270 lab.

Be aware of this when working on homework.

Maintain CS labs and equipment– Fill printers with paper– Replace toner– Fix paper jams– Monitor use of labs

Lab Policies

Do NOT install or use any software not already resident on the network.

No food or beverage is allowed under any circumstances in the Labs.

Users may not allow others to use their account privileges.

ALWAYS log out before leaving the lab!

Lab Policies

Vandalism or computer "hacking" of any kind is not allowed in the lab and on the machines.

Violation of any Laboratory Policy may result in academic or legal action against the violator.

Lab Policies are posted on the wall in each lab. Printing must be paid in advance (instructions

are posted above printer in E270)
