REMEMBRANCE FUND – Caron Hoder (508) 822-3413

Please join us for our first Sisterhood

meeting of the season. It is

scheduled for Monday, October 22, at

the home of Lauren Coelho, 72 Buck

Knoll Road, Raynham. There will be a

concise business meeting, led by

Kathy Novick, beginning at 6:45 p.m.

followed by a wonderful program, ART

and SOUL, by Alice Nussbaum.

Alice Nussbaum has been custom

designing Judaic needlework

internationally for over 35 years. Her

presentation will include a slide show

as well as Show-and-Tell samples of

her work that focuses on unique ways

to incorporate Hebrew calligraphy in a

design.

Alice discusses how pieces of modern

Jewish needlework add to the rich-

ness and meaningfulness of Jewish

life. They exemplify the concept of

Hiddur Mitzvah – beautifying and

embellishing a ritual.

Learn how the Second Command-

ment of the Ten Commandments led

to this style.

Please join us for our meeting and

extraordinary presentation. You don’t

have to be a member of Sisterhood to

attend. Please R.S.V.P. to Lauren at

508 822-4645 or

[email protected].

To Congregation Agudath Achim –

In honor of the 50th wedding

anniversary of Phyllis and David

Rubin - David Rome and Diane

Rippa.

To Rabbi’s Mitzvah Fund –

Dr. Israel and Roz Helfand in

honor of the naming of their great-

granddaughter, Tia Barbara;

Sisterhood New Year’s Bulletin

Donations.
