Seventeen years ago a group of our wish families wanted to fi nd a way to give back and help grant wishes to families like theirs. The walk has became a beloved annual event.

Team of family members and businesses across the state of Michigan come together each year, united in the mission of walking to grant wishes to brave Michigan children.

The Rainbow Connection is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of Michigan children battling a life-threatening medical condition. Since 1985, The Rainbow Connection has granted over 3,500 wishes to brave kids right here in our community. When a child is allowed to dream it is magical. Once-in-a-lifetime wishes give children the ability to dream of the impossible! Since we began this mission, no child in need of a wish has ever been turned away or made to wait. Our wish is to provide hope, memories, laughter, and aRainbow in the midst of a family storm.

Our Special Response refers families struggling with fi nancial hardships to appropriate agencies for assistance.

Our Enhancement program provides needed distractions for these special children like Happy Packs during hospital stays, complimentary sporting/entertainment tickets, as well as a summer picnic and holiday party.

Competitive Scholarships of $1,000 are awarded to wish applicants who pursue education beyond high school.
