The Work of the Holy Spirit in the World is to Convict Them . . .

I. AS SINFUL

• John 16:8a• Acts 2:36,37• If the Holy Spirit cannot

convict people of their sin let’s not heap condemnation and insult upon them.

• Pray that any hindrances be removed.

• Our world needs a healthy dose of a need of God.

II. WITHOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS

• John 16:10

• He, the Holy Spirit, helps people realize that they have no righteousness in themselves and…

• They need forgiveness through the grace that God offers them.

• Romans 1:12

III. UNDER JUDGEMENT

• John 16:11• Colossians 2:15• If people proudly go against

God’s safety zone they will have to face the result of the flames

• We need to cooperate with the Holy Spirit while there is still time.

• Let the Holy Spirit do the conviction!
