Audience Paramedics, EMTs, Nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and advanced practice professionals that provide inpatient and in-the-field care to patients with acute cardiovascular and stroke problems Bob Page is an internationally known speaker, instructor, author and paramedic. He has presented seminars across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East and Japan. He is recognized for his energetic, humorous and motivational style. Bob takes ordinarily dry and hard to teach topics and transforms them into a fun, learning experience. During the morning lecture, Bob will focus on 12-lead EKG. He will teach healthcare professionals the use of 12-lead ECG, interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) for signs of STEMI (ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) and activate a system of care for rapid reperfusion of an occluded coronary artery. In the afternoon, Bob will focus on how waveform capnography has become a solid standard of care treatment modality. Its use is being expanded to offer optimal assessment and care of conscious and unconscious patients, as it can greatly expand the assessment, diagnostic and management capabilities of EMS systems and can, and should, be used by ALS and BLS providers.
