MISSION TRIP BIRDSBORO The theme for this year’s Mission Trip is Unbroken, 2 Corinthian 12:9. The dates are Wednesday, July 22 nd to Saturday, July 25 th . There are around 35 homeowners we will be helping. All of our work will be outdoors to try to keep our volunteers and homeowners as safe as possible. We have over 100 volunteers that have applied in one way or another to participate in Mission Trip Birdsboro. 40 of those individuals are new volunteers. We have received over $7550 in sponsorships and were also awarded a $2,500 grant from the Berks County Community Foundation. Below is a prayer that has been shared between all of the participating churches. Please hold Mission Trip in your prayers for the wisdom, strength and best practices to bring hope and love to our Community. Holy Father, As we enter into our ministry week as Mission Trip Bridsboro, we ask Your blessings upon the workers, the helpers and the homeowners needing some assistance. We are thankful for all who partner together bringing joy and unity to this community. Our first thought may be to DO all we can for our friends and neighbors, but during these uncertain times, we ask, Lord, that You hold this world tightly in Your hands. We may not know what comes tomorrow but we DO know that YOU are already there. Give us strength for the journey and the trials we encounter Give us grace for the missed steps we may take Give us peace in the unknown elements in our daily lives Give us Hope for the broken and disconnected world around us Give us Your Love and cover us with Your hands of mercy As we strive to bring our community closer together, may we always keep You at the center of our endeavors; To help those in need To grow in grace and share our faith To care for others who need us And to proclaim You as Lord of all creation By the power of Your Spirit, join us in unity that we may be a visible sign of the circle of Your Love….unbroken and unbending. May we be a people of Hope and Joy! In the name of Jesus we pray……..Amen ST. PAUL’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST | SUMMER 2020 Cornerstone the

VISIONING 2020

On September 12 2020 from 900 ndash 200 is our tentative date to hold Visioning It will depend on how St Paulrsquos feels about holding the ldquoin personrdquo workshop at the CE Building due to the Corona Virus A large number of members still do not feel comfortable with ldquoin personrdquo contact and we need to make sure that they feel comfortable along with waiting to see if things spike up in our community Please mark your calendars read and listen for updates and be understanding if we need to reschedule this VERY important workshop for the future of our church We still have Dale Davis as our facilitator and he has been very helpful along with patient in trying to get this to actually happen He has strongly recommended to Consistory that this needs to be an ldquoin personrdquo meeting instead of a Zoom meeting
