CANDLE SAFETY The candles we supply are made to high specifications and our dinner candles and pillar candles are over dipped to minimise dripping. However, care should always be taken when burning candles: Put candles on a heat resistant surface. Be especially careful with night lights and tea lights, which get hot enough to melt plastic. Put them in a proper holder. Candles need to be held firmly upright by the holder so they won't fall over. The holder needs to be stable too, so it won't fall over either. Position them away from curtains. Don't put candles near curtains or other fabrics - or furniture. And keep them out of draughts. Don't put them under shelves. It's easy to forget that there's a lot of heat above a burning candle. If you put it under a shelf or other surface then it can burn the surface. Make sure there's at least three feet (one metre) between a candle and any surface above it. Keep clothes and hair away. If there's any chance you could lean across a candle and forget it's there, put it somewhere else. Keep children and pets away. Candles should be out of reach of children and pets. Keep candles apart. Leave at least four inches (10cm) between two burning candles. Take care with votive or scented candles. Always burn them in a glass or metal holder. Don't move them when burning. Also, don't let anything fall into the hot wax like match sticks. Don't leave them burning. Extinguish candles before you leave a room. Never go to sleep with a candle still burning. And never leave a burning candle or oil burner in a child's bedroom. Use a snuffer or a spoon to put them out. It's safer than blowing them, which can send sparks and hot wax flying. All burning times and sizes quoted are approximate. Draughts and air conditioning greatly affects the burning performance of a candle.

Our PRICES are competitive. Group purchase and bulk buy discounts are available. Additionally, if you find a like-for-like product cheaper elsewhere, we will beat your current price by 5% (proof of prices required).

Our candles are manufactured to the highest QUALITY, using the best materials and are all long burn-ing.

We offer a prompt nationwide FREE DELIVERY SERVICE on three case orders or more.

Terms and Conditions

Carriage paid on all orders of three cases or more of any items (unless otherwise specified in the prod-uct description) and church candles (£120.00 carriage paid).

Standard Mainland UK carriage charges for orders under the minimum carriage paid is £8.00 except for inner London when a charge of £6.00 will be made. The delivery charge for Highlands & Islands will be quoted for once we have received the order and have shipping weight and volume.

We only take payments for the order once we have confirmation of the delivery charge and we are ready to despatch the order.

Standard delivery is a two working day service. Overnight orders must be received by 1pm to receive a next working day delivery. Overnight orders received after 1pm will be delivered the subsequent working day.

Discounts off trade prices are given at the discretion of the Company and on the strict understanding that the Company Terms of Trade are adhered to. Delay of payment will be deemed to be a breach of this understanding and any discounts given may be withdrawn by the company.

Title to all goods and products sold by the company shall remain with the company until such time as full payment for such goods and products has been received.

Goods delivered against customers’ orders cannot be returned or exchanged, either wholly or in part. Any claim for damages and / or shortages must be given to the Company within three days of deliv-ery.We require all of our customers to be extra vigilant when accepting deliveries, and it is necessary that where there are any damaged boxes or pallets, or missing cartons upon delivery, the couriers POD (Proof Of Delivery) must be annotated accordingly, detailing the exact nature of the damage or the shortage. We cannot settle any claims where couriers POD’s are signed cleanly and fully intact. Break-ages of less than one case will be credited not replaced.

The Company reserves the right to withdraw credit facilities for customers who do not settle their ac-counts within 30 days.

The Seller shall sell and the buyer shall purchase the goods in accordance with any written faxed, tele-phoned, emailed, online or other comparably communicated order to the buyer which is accepted by the seller. All such order shall be accepted subject to these Terms and Conditions. No terms, condi-tions, or reservations stipulated by the Buyer, the Buyer’s representative or the Buyer’s purchase order can annul or override the sellers Terms and Conditions.

The Covent Garden Candle Company adheres to all UK Trading laws and legislation.

This contract shall be construed according to the Law of England and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
