This past week-end some person or persons d rove past my house and fir ed a s hot t hrough the window on the porch and cracked th e g la ss in the living room window. The police were out and said it was probably a pump-pell et rifl e or pe llet gun because a 22 shell wou ld have went through both windows. What really concerns me is my son sometimes plays with hi s dog on the porch and if he had been out there a t the time this happened he very weB might have been seriously hurt. The police told me that our house was not the first to have this happen. There was others too. I don' t have any idea who the person or persons responsib le for these sick acts are. But someone with a disturbed mind wou ld do something like this. I pray that you wake up a nd rea lize that before you hurt someone first. If you continue shooting at peoples homes, that is just what's going to happe n.

Dear Editor, On April 14 , 1974 there were

near-by tornado warnings a nd sightings out.

At that time the Culver Fire Departme nt sounded the warning siren. As you drove in the county fireme n were also standing by and looking for funnel\ clouds . others J'm sure that it was a great relief knowing this was being done. I hope it is a policy from now on. It seems the tragic tornado taught us a lesson that was in Rochester, Ind . every second counts.
