The current education goals I have include completing my associate’s degree and begin entering into the accounting department of my current employers shortly thereafter. During my classes, I aim to have a high grade point average and work very hard at accomplish this. So far I have accomplished this goal as of current. I hope to learn everything possible in the accounting department. While do this, I have also planned to take a deeper look into what else I can learn before I attempt to move on to sales and marketing departments. The skills I have currently that make me a good fit for this short term goals include my knowledge of the business as a whole. I have knowledge of administration and management, but not a piece of paper that state I have these skills. I have characteristics that involve strategic planning principles. Along with this I have typical clerical knowledge. I also have characteristic of wanting and willingness to learn more and never stop learning. I want to become someone. I need to gain skills and experiences in all accounting and compliance software. I have no idea what ERP software is, so this is a clear weakness. I will hope to learn ERP while taking my accounting courses. I need to learn financial analysis software and tax preparation. The have minor areas I need to brush up on such as my mathematics, algebra and geometry. I have never taken calculus and look forward to these mountains I need to climb in my future classes. Some of the obstacles or challenges I may need to work on is making sure I ask many questions and understand everything I am learning before moving on to the next step. Step/Action Item + Completion Date #1: Learning all accounting aspects, learning them well so I am prepared to help in every aspect. Graduation day would be this completion date. I need to learn the rest of the business. 2016- 2017 Step/Action Item + Completion Date #2: Start an internship learning some aspects of the sale marketing departments and making more networking connections. Become a full time sales marketing personal for my current employer and begin looking for something more. I don’t want to hit a ceiling. I am hoping to find more passion in another goal plan. Year 2020. Become a successful sale marketing personal for the company. There is a reward at the end of each year for the best sales as an incentive to do well. I would like to accomplish this between the years 2018-2020

Long-Term Career Goal (approximately 3–5 years): Like I stated above, my career goals include learning the accounting department, any

other unforeseen aspects of the business, then applying for a sales marketing position. This is important to me for many reasons. I have always wanted to travel and the sales marketing job has this opportunity. The earned incoming is higher, which has its obvious benefits. I also want to see how far I can go in this business. I take pride in learning as much as I can and like to see my work appreciated.

Again, I feel that my current knowledge of every aspect of the company is something I can bring to the table. Once I learn even more skills of the accounting department it will help just

as much. I really feel that having experienced every aspect on the business will help. As a sales personal I will be able to prepare my own contracts, arrange my own logistics, have the knowledge of the material I and purchasing/selling, and settle the contracts all on my own, which is not something any current sales person can do at the time. It may be beneficial that I learn a few different languages with the traveling that is involved. Other skills I should strengthen as my active listening skills. I need to learn how to stay engaged in a conversation and try to predict what customers need. I need to strengthen my social skills. I usually clam up around people I do not know well, which can come off as being shy or weak and even rude. I think the only way to overcome these weaknesses is by fully jumping in. I can begin working on my social skills now. I have recently been attending meeting with high up personal. Something that used to make me nervous isn’t really as bad as I imagined it would be. I have also never traveled, especially out of the country, but that’s not a reason to be nervous about it. I just need to learn the different adversities, laws of each country and learn proper etiquette.
