The Daily News MondayJune 15, 2020 Dear Taylor Community, How could we have forgotten the most important day of the year? Fathers Day! All joking aside, it was brought to my attention that Fathers Day is on Sunday, June 21 st - the day before our Phase 3 re-opening plans are set to go into effect. Recognizing this, we will allow visitors to independent residents cottages and apartments beginning on Sunday, June 21 st . All other Phase 3 re-opening plans will still go into effect on Monday, June 22 nd as planned. As a reminder, all visitors should be wearing masks and should avoid spending time in common areas, including the Woodside billiards room, library, and outdoor pavilion. Again, this applies to independent cottages and the Woodside Apartment building only, and unfortunately does not include our Taylor Home and Ledgeview buildings yet. We continue to have conversations with the State of New Hampshire officials and will inform residents and families if the rules regarding visitors for these buildings change. Our continued thanks to all for your patience and understanding through our re-opening process. As always, our priority is the health and safety of our residents. Be safe, take care of one another, and please keep washing your hands, Michael (366-1219 or [email protected]) THANK YOU, PRISCILLA! Thank you to another talented resident gardener, Priscilla Matthews, for dressing up this shared neighborhood space for all to enjoy. Photo courtesy of Diane Beaman.

Dear Taylor Community, How could we have forgotten the most important day of the year? Father’s Day! All joking aside, it was brought to my attention that Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 21st - the day before our Phase 3 re-opening plans are set to go into effect. Recognizing this, we will allow visitors to independent residents’ cottages and apartments beginning on Sunday, June 21st. All other Phase 3 re-opening plans will still go into effect on Monday, June 22nd as planned.

Be safe, take care of one another, and please keep washing your hands, Michael (366-1219 or [email protected])

JOKE OF THE DAY Courtesy of a Resident Funnyman Two old guys are playing tennis. At one point, the ball rolls into some bushes and, when one of the players goes to retrieve it, he is confronted by a frog claiming to be a beautiful princess who has been turned into a frog by a mischievous wizard. If the player will kiss her, the frog assures him, she will revert to her natural princess state and marry him, and they'll both live happily ever after. The player pockets the frog and returns to the game. After a bit, the frog, inside the player's pocket croaks, "Sir, did you forget about me? I'm this beautiful princess, turned into a frog, if you kiss me . . ."and so forth, to which she receives the reply, "Dear lady frog, I will be completely honest with you. I have reached the age at which I would rather have a talking frog than a new wife." REMINDERS RE: PAVILION GRAND OPENING ON WEDNESDAY EVENING Friendly reminder that masks are required at the Pavilion Grand Opening on Wednesday evening. “Doors” open at 5 p.m., but people are encouraged to come early for symptom checks prior to being seated. If you’re planning to sit near someone, please plan to arrive together. Also, please don’t forget your chair and remember the 6 foot rule while waiting in line. Please contact Brenda at [email protected] or 366-1226 with any questions.

REMINDER FROM ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE We remind you to bring your water bottle to fitness classes and the gym. You'll save plastic cups from the trash and can feel good twice - once for exercising and once for remembering to bring your water bottle! Just stash the bottle next to your mask so you'll remember it. MONDAY FUNNY A man walks into a bar and orders a drink. A minute later he hears, “You look great. Have you lost weight?” He looks around, but there’s no one near. Again, a minute later, he hears, “You know, you don’t look a day over 30.” Looks around again, no one but him and the bar-tender, so he asks, “Did you hear that?” The bartender says, “It’s the peanuts. They’re complimentary.”
