THE DARKEST HOUR
This is a sans-serif typeface called ‘Felix Titling’ and I believe this really suits the thriller genre ; its
simple but has some threatening and obscure feeling to it.
I believe this particular font is similar to the font used for the thriller ‘Derailed’ and it could work within our film if we add our own different style
to it.
This style of typeface is ideal for our film because it is a crime action thriller and the eroded or destroyed
parts of the letters really compliments the genre and title. Looks gritty, bold and powerful.
T H E D A R K E S T H O U RThis is a serif font which has spaces after each letter making
them distant form each other – this may link to some themes like disappearance and lost on connection or
contact in our film. This particular style of spaces is quite common in any film titles, not just thrillers. But I believe this can be ideal for our film with again different styles and we want it to be simple but unique and different than others.
The similar type of font is used in the film ‘Frozen’
DISTURBED
This is the most boldest and most demanding font. This is widely used in thriller films today as its very eye-catching and powerful. It is used in films like Obsessed, Bad Company and The Town which are recent film titles.
