Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves. Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it. If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

When the Father and the Son send the Spirit All there is wind and fire.

When the Father with the Son led the children of Israel through the wilderness

When the fire raged in Babylon and the Father protected Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego

All there was the Spirit making the Son present in the fire.

When the wind blew on the waters of Jordan the Father spoke All and the Holy Spirit descended on the Son. When the lightning flashed and the Son died All the Spirit kept the Father’s heart connected to the Son. When the stone rolled and the Son was raised All the Spirit rejoiced with the Father. When the apostles trembled after the Son left, All the Father sent the wind and fire of the Spirit in tongues of flame. When the time is fulfilled and the Son returns, All the Father will embrace the Spirit and the wind and the fire will be one.

The Eucharistic Prayer The Lord be with you. All And also with you. Lift up your hearts.All We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.All It is right to give thanks and praise.

God of surprises, your Spirit brooded over the waters at creation and lived among your chosen people in wilderness, exile, and promised land. Your Spirit filled Mary’s womb at the moment of Jesus’ conception and came upon him like a dove at his baptism. When Christ died on the cross your power raised him from the tomb on the third day, and that same evening he breathed your forgiving grace on those who had deserted him. On the day of Pentecost you sent your Spirit upon the fearful disciples, filling them with fire, with power, with wonder and joy, and making them your church. And so we gladly thank you, with angels and archangels and all the company of heaven, singing the hymn of your unending praise.

All Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Speak your word to all who are alone and in fear or despair, and let each one of your children hear your voice in their own language, whether that language be art or science, work or play. For fifty days we have celebrated the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ over the powers of sin and death. We have proclaimed God's mighty acts and we have prayed that the power that was at work when God raised Jesus from the dead might be at work in us. And now we are called to live out his promise:

You have received the Holy Spirit! Will you dare to walk in faith, trusting that God will be your guide?All By the Spirit's power, we will.

You have received the Holy Spirit! Will you grow together in love? Will you dare to share your riches with other peple, and help other people in need?

All By the Spirit's power, we will.

You have received the Holy Spirit! Will you pray for each other, care for each other, and dare to carry the love of God out into the world?

Covid-19 has forced us to close our buildings for the first time in our history, but our vital work within the community and beyond simply must continue.

Our all-year-round schedule of concerts and events, along with our cafe and shop, have long provided a cultural centre for London and helped to support our social care work. But now, with no music in our buildings, our vital work and our church is lacking the support it once had.
