The Decision to Choose a SaaS Supplier Interview by Helen Winsor, SSON Andy Moffat, HR Director at Aviva Europe, joins SSON to discuss the benefits of using an SaaS supplier for HR management. SSON: Andy, welcome to the show. How are you today? A Moffat: I'm fine, Helen, and you? SSON: I'm very well thank you, great of you to join us ahead of the event. Now, I've got a few questions for you today. First of all, at Aviva you've chosen a SaaS supplier for your HR management system; why has this direction been chosen and what benefits have you seen to date? A Moffat: Firstly, I think it’s worthwhile recognising that Aviva operates on a regional basis and largely our history has been for our countries to operate in at least a semi-autonomous way. But since Andrew Moss came in as our Chief Executive Officer in 2007 we've been pursuing a strategy which we'd describe as One Aviva and One Aviva is characterised by having a consistent way of doing things on a global basis. So we had and have fragmented systems across HR and across Aviva and we decided that we would look for a solution which could work on a global basis. We also analyse the cost of ownership of enterprise systems and in conjunction with our IT function identify software as the service, as the right route forward for Aviva, from a cost perspective, a future proofing, from a technology perspective and also an operational efficiency perspective. And that was why we went down the SaaS route rather than simply renewing our enterprise systems on a global basis. SSON: So what benefits have you seen to date, Andy? The Decision to Choose a SaaS Supplier

Interview by Helen Winsor, SSON

Andy Moffat, HR Director at Aviva Europe, joins SSON to discuss the benefits of using an SaaS supplier for HR management.
