The annual event, which featured women's and men's swimwear and men's underwear designs, was co- presented by Chelsea Lane Body- wear, Destination PSP and The Sa- guaro. Providing entertainment and colorful commentary for the after- noon festivities was local entertain- er and social ambassador Bella da Ball, and Emmy-nominated KESQ News Channel 3 morning anchor Bianca Rae. The dynamic duo, dressed in attire from Desert AIDS Project's "Love Lives On" collection by Destination PSP, kept the mo- mentum going throughout the after- noon as sexy models strutted around the pool in the latest swim and un- derwear fashions from top national and international brands. Spotted among the gathering of more than 200 were DAP repre- sentatives Barry Dayton, Brett Klein, JP Allen, and George Nasci- Sinatra; supporters Ursula Versace, David Wichter, and David Lee, as well as White Party honcho Jeffrey Sanker and Palm Springs City Coun- cil woman Ginny Foat. More than two dozen guests enjoyed the eight-dish, family-style dinner, a portion of which also benefited DAP. The Mayor of Rancho Mirage and all Council Merilbers plus the Chamber of Commerce held a traditional ribbon cut- ting, but that was the only 'traditional' part of the night. (The giant rubber duck- ie IN the river was the first clue!) Guests included RIL partners Juan Pineda of The Saguaro Hotel, Ungar Kung with The River, and Doug Watson from The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage. Merchants at the River joined in to make the evening a success and contributed a total of $2,500 to Greater Palm Springs Pridfe. •*
