Lorna Burke is highly recommended -- reliable, trustworthy, honest—the whole package. She cared for our three children (3,3,4) and kept our household clean and organized for a year and half. She is wonderful with children and keeps them entertained for hours (arts and crafts projects, baking, picnicking—you name it!) We felt 100% confident that the children were well-looked after whenever Lorna was present. She is a great cook and cleaner and needs little direction for either. As examples, she took the initiative to whip up gluten-free dishes for a visitor and to undertake major cleaning projects (such as washing curtains) without being asked. Madge Sinclair is an excellent nanny and helper now available for full time work. She is also willing to work late during the week, weekends and overnight. She has worked for other diplomat families, has worked at a preschool, came well recommended to us and did not disappoint. She cared for our two toddlers, cleaned, did laundry, ironed, and completed any task we asked of her. Her care for our toddlers was exceptional. She was attentive, loving, caring, patient, kind, yet firm when she needed to be. She was dedicated to any special requests we asked of her regarding our children and made sure she followed our instructions. She was also flexible, dependable, and honest. Great helpers are hard to find! We highly recommend Ms. Terry-Ann and wish had we found her sooner. She is avail-able immediately as part-time helper. She worked for us Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. During her year with us, she excelled at keeping our household running smoothly. She’s highly skilled at maintaining the house, in-cluding washing, ironing, cleaning, and light cooking. She babysat our kids on date nights and for other parental ex-cursions. She housesat and petsat our dog during family times out of the city. Ms. Terry-Ann requires very little direc-tion and very little supervision. She has a great personality and is always good-humored. She has high ethical stand-ards and integrity. We felt confident with our family in her caring hands. She has several years’ experience working for US Embassy families.
