In 1990's women's fashion the Grunge trend saw the exit of short spunky hair styles and tight perms and the entrance of too-long-to-be-true, straggled straight or wavy hair. Tight jeans were out, out, out and loose ripped and dirty jeans were in.

Shoes should be thick soled and chunky, Doc Martens, work boots or funky sneakers. Shirts were big and baggy, denim or plaid and the lumberjack look ruled. Between 92-94 jeans were worn torn and in any color as long as they weren't bright. Dirty blue or indigo was always considered the best also there was a place for the fashion fad of cargo pants in the 90's.

The small fabric pouch called the fanny pack became a keep-sake for everyone to have. If you were in a rush or didn’t see the need for the larger purse or carry-on, you could buckle it to your waist to retrieve small items such as the toothbrush or lipstick.

Nylon track suits and jackets this clothing became synonymous in the early ’90s during daily workout sessions. You found a need to put on the flashy, synthetic material which came in all colors.
