THE EDRIVE SYSTEM TEST STANDPowertrain testing under real conditions

At the test center in Mönsheim near Stuttgart, MBtech, the automotive competence center of the AKKA Group, has an ultramodern system test stand for electric and hybrid vehicles. This drive system test stand combines the test methods from the fi elds of electrics/electronics and powertrain development to create an innovative solution.

TECHNICAL CONFIGURATION OF THE TESTING INFRASTRUCTURE Two test chambers can be operated in parallel Chamber 1: “Vehicles & Systems” for the testing of drive systems, complete powertrains and cars

Chamber 2: “Systems & Components” for the testing of systems and electrical components (e.g. HV batteries or charging systems)

The temperature in the two chambers can be set individually in the range from -30 to +50°C

Hotbox up to 140°C

MBTECH „ROAD TO RIG TESTSYSTEM“ A NEW WAY OF TESTINGIt is now possible for the fi rst time at MBtech to test the overall behavior of the (e)Drive powertrain in combination with the rest of the vehicle electron-ics before the vehicle test, and that under real conditions: The powertrain can be loaded identically to the road operation, for example by analogy with a summer or winter test. A realistic validation is thus possible with far fewer development vehicles. In view of the high expenditure for vehicle mock-ups and their worldwide operation and support, this represents a signifi cant saving in costs and time.

OUR ADDED VALUE

Know-how for the development and tes-ting of electrical systems and components

Customised mock-ups, implementation and evaluation

Flexible testing: 24 h / 7 days a week

Reduced set-up and tooling times

WE OFFER VARIOUS OPERATOR MODELS

Service: Book test stand capacity with us for your development projects. We provide the test infrastructure.

Sub-project: For longer development pro-jects, you can use our competence for e.g. further test preparation and evaluation.

Overall project: Your one-stop provider. We handle the development and validation of complete packages on the test stand for you.
