In the past I have tried many things, some of them good but most of them bad. When I was in high school I began smoking cigarettes, it was a common thing back then everyone smoked, they would even let us smoke in classes at school. Soon after that I fell in with a bad crowd and began to smoke marijuana and consume alcohol. By the age of sixteen I smoked marijuana every day three times a day. It was an expensive habit and my drug and drinking problems wouldn't allow me to get a job. I began stealing from my family and selling their things for drug money. I even sold my grandmother's valuable spoon collection. I was not proud of myself but I couldn't stop myself. When my family started catching on I needed to find another way to make money so I began dealing drugs. By the age of eighteen I had started experimenting with crack and various other drugs. One night I passed out on a street corner, when I woke up I realized that my life had taken a horrible turn. What had happened to me? I knew right then and there that I couldn't go on like that. I went to church to confess my sins and became friends with Father Micheal who helped me find Jesus and get through it. Now I work at a youth center and run an anti-drug program all thanks to Jesus!
