FOODS THAT ARE GOODDURING THE FAST
All Whole Grains, including whole wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa, oats, barley grits, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat tortillas, rice cakes and popcorn.
All Nuts and Seeds, including sunflower seeds, cashews, peanuts, sesame. Also nut butters including peanut butter.
All Legumes. These can be canned or dried. Legumes include dried beans, pinto beans, split peas, lentils, black eyes peas, kidney beans
All Quality Oils such as olive, canola, grape seed peanut and sesame.
Beverages such as spring water, distilled water or other pure waters.
Other such as tofu, soy products, vinegar, seasonings, salt, herbs and spices, honey is also permitted.
The Fast Begins at 6:00AM on the first day and Ends at 6:00PM
on the last day!
DISTRACTIONSIt will be difficult for you to consecrate yourself if you feed on things such as TV and/or other forms of secular entertainment during this time. These may deter you from effectively reaching the goal of the fast.
FOODS TO AVOIDDURING THE DANIEL FAST
All Meat and Animal Products, beef, lamb, pork, poultry and fish.
All Dairy, milk, cheese, cream, butter and eggs.
All Sweeteners, sugar, raw sugar, syrups, molasses and cane juice.
All Refined and Processed Foods, artificial flavorings, food additives, chemicals, white rice, white flour and foods with artificial preservatives.
All Leavened Bread, Ezekiel Bread (because it has Yeast and Honey) and baked goods.
All Deep Fried Foods, potato chips, French fries, and corn ships.
All Solid Fats like margarine, lard and foods high in fat.
Beverages like coffee, tea, herbal teas, carbonated beverages, energy drinks and alcohol.

Pray throughout the day for yourself, your growth, your relatives, your church family, your pastor, our city, our country and in governmental leadership.
GUIDELINES FOR DANIEL FAST
Study your Bible and apply what yo
u read to your life.Drink lots of Water (at least 8-10 glasses daily.Media Fast: Limit daily media intake of TV/Radio to either 2 hours/day or less of religious programming or news. No secular entertainment.
OVERVIEW OF THE FAST
The
Daniel Fast drastically restricts normal food intake by cutting away many of the foods you commonly eat to satis
fy your appetite. Usually we gratify our flesh by eating what we want whenever we are hungry. During the Daniel Fast, there will be a sense of hunger much of the time and a sense of sacrifice even when we eat.
SIDE EFFECTS
You may experi
ence moderate to severe headaches for the first day or two as your body rids itself of caffeine, salt, sugar and various impurities.

ition related to eating or under the treatment of a physician must consult t

ren, will have special needs that must be considered
. Under these conditions, find some sacrifice in the
area of food that can be made without endangering heal
th. 3.Pregnant women use wisdom and discretion. If ne
cessary, consult your physician for the proper foods to supplemen
t a modified version of the fast. 4.If you have extre
me difficulty with the fast, such as impairment of yo
ur ability to work at your job, you will have to make adjustments.
BASIC GUIDELINES
1. Read the Bible daily. Meditate on what you read and be fed spiritually.
2. Anoint yourself
with Oil. Deut. 28:40; Mark 14:3-9
Anoint your head that you might think Godly t
houghts.Anoint your eyes to see people for their potential.Anoint your ears that you might hear
the voice of God.Anoint your nose that you might have sensitivity and discern what is right and wrong.Anoint you mouth so that your all words would be pleasing to God.Anoint your hands that you might work diligently in all of your tasks.Anoint your feet that you might walk
in the character of Christ.Anoint your heart so that it might be good ground for The Word of God.
3.Take Communion when off
ered. 1 Corinthians 11:23-32, Matthew 26:26-29
4. Pray for yourself and for your prayer life. Hosea 10:12. Get use to praying for people daily. Keep a prayer list. Pray for real people whose lives you touch. In addition, you should pray for those in authority.
5. Praise God continuously. Psalms 42:5, 63:3, 119:164 and Isaiah 38:19. Commit
to praising during your prayer time. Praise is a remedy for discouragement. Joyfulness, gladness of heart, and the abundance of all things are a result of praise.

Study Christian revivals that led to major moves of God. Do a topical study of subjects like prayer, love, holiness,

kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, nectarines, oranges, papayas, peaches, pears, pineapples, plums, prunes, raisins, raspberries, strawberries, tan
gelos, blackberries, tangerines, watermelon
ALL VEGETABLES
These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced or canned. Vegetables include but
are not limited to artichokes, asparagus, beets, broccoli, Brussels spr
outs, cabbage, carrots cauliflower, celery, chili peppers, collard greens, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, ginger root, rutabagas, scallions, spinac
h, sprouts, squashes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, yams, zucchini, veggie burgers are on option if you are not allergic to soy.
FIRST TIMERS:
