Amanda Rocco 08’ B.F.A. Film/Video
Amanda Rocco graduated from Five Towns College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her first experience working in production was in the equipment room for the film Bay Ridge Boys in a summer film class. Amanda began her career in talk show production as a student at Five Towns, where she interned for Rachael Ray. She was hired full-time upon graduation. She has worked her way from Production Assistant to Senior Associate Producer on a range of talk shows including Rachael Ray, The Jeremy Kyle Show, The Nate Berkus Show and The Revolu-tion. She is currently Segment Producer at The Dr. Oz Show. She has worked on numerous independent TV and film production projects, including The Amazing Spider-Man, Bad Girls Club, On The Case With Paula Zahn, the HGTV Pilot Showhouse and the CBS Pilot Say It Now. She attributes much of her success in film and TV to the internships, field-experienced professors, and career services available to her at Five Towns. "I value the hands on experience I had as a student. It undoubtedly prepared me for a career that I truly enjoy."

Homecoming 2013 Homecoming has returned! The week-
end of events took place September
27-29, 2013. The weekend kicked off
with a homecoming dance that included
king and queen elections. The weekend
continued with a homecoming competi-
tion and tailgating event that included
Alumni as judges, DJ entertainment,
performances, and attendees. With
over 175 students and alumni in attend-
ance, it was a great success. We are
looking to increase those numbers for
Homecoming 2014, especially for our
alumni and families. Join us for our next
homecoming event coming in October!
Her Story Fashion Show On Friday night, March 14, 2014, the Her Story
Fashion Show, hosted by Bianca Golden from
America’s Next Top Model, was held in the Down-
beat. Senior Justin Tomlinson, along with his com-
mittee, put together an amazing showcase of mod-
ern fashion for an excellent cause. The show, which
supported women’s empowerment, was able to
raise over $500 in proceeds that was donated to
the Bethany House, a women and children’s home-
less shelter.
