Wildlife Commission Will Present Free Turkey Hunting

Seminars Statewide During MarchThe N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission and the

National Wild Turkey Federation will present 11 freeturkey hunting seminars across the state in March.The seminars, which will be held from 6 p.m. to9 p.m., are open on a first-come, first-served basis.Participants 16 years old and younger will needparental permission to register. Pre-registration isrequired and participants must register online.

Topics will include biology, hunting methods, callsand decoys, firearms and ammo selection, camouflageclothing, and a brief turkey processing/cookingoverview. Each seminar will conclude with a Q&Asession and brief overview of R3 (hunter recruitment,retention and re-activation) initiatives.
