    THE FB ADS REPORT

Are you ready? Cool, lets get started.

    The Power Editor:

I know the power editor seems confusing compared to the

super simple Ads Manager, but the Power Editor comes with the

exact same features, plus tons of others that will save you a lot of

time and energy.(By the way, I have the new Facebook Campaign Structure, so if

my images look di ff erent than your interface, is that)

Alright, to start this, go to the Power Editor:

    https://www.facebook.com/ads/manage/powereditor/

If this is your first time, you need to install it. You also need tohave Google Chrome.

    THE FB ADS REPORT

Now, lets get you familiar with the new Facebook Ad structure.

Facebook now allows you to have multiples ad sets inside your

campaign. For example:Campaign : Eben Pegan Promo - CPC

Ad Sets : Video 1 Pre Launch - Right SideBar - CPC (4 Ads)

Video 2 Pre Launch - Right SideBar - CPC (4 Ads)

Ads: All your ads from your ad sets. in my case, Ill have a total 8

Ads.This allow you to have multiple dates, ads, budgets and

targeting, now, Ill show later how to create your ads inside the

power editor as we do it step by step, for now, lets proceed to the

    bidding.

    Facebook Bidding:

Getting leads: Optimized CPC or Manual CPC

    Getting sales: Manual CPC

    Right Hand SideBar: Manual CPC

NewsFeed Ad : Optimized CPC or Manual CPC

And when it comes to creating your ad, you ask? Well, you need

to get into the mindset of advertising, and how to do it properly.

Heres what I mean (and this is extremely important)

    THE FB ADS REPORT

Cost : How much Im spending.

Risks : Risks involves spending that.

Results: The result you want to get (opt-in or sale)

    Measure: Tracking your results

The idea is to minimise, always, the lowest amount possible

    your risk with any campaign.

It doesnt matter what level of expertise you have, advertisingis not about having a big budget, is all about doing things right.

I always start a new Facebook Campaign with a daily budget

of just $10.00 , and by the way, I always watch my campaigns

closely to make sure Im getting impressions and clicks.

If I see my campaign is not getting impressions (and my adbidding is good, which Ill show you later) then I bump my

campaign to $20.00, however, since Im watching my campaigns

closely, on my first day I never spent the $20.00 - never. Only the

    $10.00.

By doing this, I dont have to risk money when Im testing a newcampaign. So if is not working properly, I can pause it. I usually let it

run for 24 hours *minimum*, and my risk, is minimum too.

This way you dont have to worry about messing things up ;)

Measuring your results is crucial, you need to track your clicks,

your page trigger (so either use the Facebook Tracking Pixel, or your

    [email protected] COPYRIGHT 2014

own tracking tool. If youre promoting an a ff iliate product, make

sure their a ff iliate program comes with a tracking, if not, you can

use something like ClickMeter)At the end of the day, is all about tracking to get results by

measuring your data in order to pause it, tweak it and scale it.

Now, be aware with scaling your campaign. Sure, you can

increase your daily budget and that will scale your impressions,

clicks and results. So for example, at a $10.00 per day budgeteverything goes great, youre getting impressions, clicks and sales.

So if you decide to take the best ads and scale it to $15.00 per day

budget, and it goes great too, you start to get impressions, clicks

and sales. Now you scale it up to $20.00 per day, and youre still

making profit. So you decide to take it to the next level and get it to$50.00 per day, but now, youre not getting sales and you have to

    take it back.

Remember, all campaigns have a point where is not paying for

itself, this is why is so important to measure your results, before

and a f er scaling.Dont get scared, this is easy, all you need to do is watch the

performance of your ad, this is not something you leave running on

    autopilot.

Next part is your actual Facebook Ad bidding, this is how much

youre going to bid for your ad.

    THE FB ADS REPORT

Theres something you need to understand with this: Whatever

Max Bid Per Click you place, is *NOT* what youre going to pay,

thats how much youre willing to pay . If you have a good CTR (Ill

show you some % in just a moment) your CPC will be extremely

    low.

My bid here is $0.70 CPC, and Im paying an average of $0.21

and $0.28 CPC. And yes, this is to an external website, and you can

see the ad on the next page.

This is the heat I brought with just Facebook Ads during the

    pre-launch: 218 opt-ins for just $100 for video 1 (pre-launch was stillgoing when I wrote this report) - $0.4c per lead.

    THE FB ADS REPORT

If that doesnt get you all pumped to start advertising with

Facebook and building your list, I dont know what will.

Ok, lets talk about the Click-Through-Rate when advertising onFacebook (and bare in mind, this are not the rules or something,

these percentages are more like to give you an idea, this is using my

    data a f er advertising).

    Right Hand SideBar: 0.015% to 0.05%Newsfeed Ad : 2% to 5+%

Your newsfeed ad should always have a much higher CTR,

because is in the way of their newsfeed. It gets noticed.

With this data, you think it will be better to only advertise onthe newsfeed? Nope, because your newsfeed is also more

expensive (besides, is never good to put all your eggs in one basket)

For example, when Im doing a ff iliate promotions I only use the

Right Hand SideBar, I only use the newsfeed when I have a bonus

for the product Im promoting, and, if thats the case, Ill use the

Newsfeed ad as a right hand sidebar ad too (see screenshots below

as an example of a newsfeed ad used as a right column ad)

    THE FB ADS REPORT

So, youre probably wondering How the hell I get a good CTR,

    right?

Pretty easy, you need two things:1. Good, laser-targeted audiences.

    2. A good Ad (image, headline, copy)

Thats it! Doing this is NOT complicated, getting the perfect

audiences it may look like a complicated process when youcompare that to the simple fan page targeting.

But think about it, lets say I want to create an add to promote a

product related to Facebook Ads. What can I do?

Well, I can target people who like get 10,000 fans and other fan

pages related to Facebook Ads, but, what happens to this ultratargeted people?

    14/29

    THE FB ADS REPORT

You cant target these people with the normal Facebook Precise

Interests option. And those are over 4,836 targeted Facebook Users

you can market to.Facebook groups are extremely powerful, if you do your

    research properly.

Heres how to do it: ( Note: You need to have the Facebook

Graph Search ). In this example I used Groups joined by Gilberto

    Hernandez"

If you join groups on Facebook, and those are related to the

product you want to advertise, then you can simply use them (Ill

tell you how in just a moment)

If you have friends related to your niche as friends on Facebook,

you can use Groups of Gilberto Hernandez's friends

Here we have the groups joined by my friends, the first one is

for my High-School Group, so clearly that is not going to work, but

the third one, The Laboratory is a new group I can target (And

    [email protected] COPYRIGHT 2014

  • 8/11/2019 The Fb Report Wf

    16/29

    THE FB ADS REPORT

most important is a targeted group of BUYERS , is like having a

buyers list at your fingertips , is that powerful)

You can also use the graph search to discover new fan pages:

Pages liked by people who like Brendon Burchard or Pages

liked by people who like Brendon Burchard and Perry Marshall

Theres so much stu ff you can do with graph search, that I

decided to add the ones that I use at the end of the report. Now, in order to advertise to those groups, you need their IDs,

the only way you can do this is with a Facebook Scrapper.

Theres a lot of talk about it, and let me tell you, youre not

doing anything wrong (in fact, you could do it manually by just

removing the www and adding graph. to the profile URL:https://www.facebook.com/ghernandez17 -> https://

    graph.facebook.com/ghernandez17

Now, at the same time you need to be careful and follow the

guidelines of Facebook. This is 100% secure, and we all do it - Yes I

do it, you can see it in the Eben Ad Bidding image a couple of pagesfurther back.

This subject is about Custom Audiences, with Facebook you can

upload a excel document that contains IDs of Facebook Users, or

emails (for example, your mailing list) and create an ad specifically

    to them.

So you can download a CSV file from your autoresponder, and

upload it directly to Facebook and if they use the same email on

Facebook, an ad will be displayed to them. And yes, this method is GREAT to either advertise your own

product or a ff iliate products to your list without bombarding them

    with promotions.

But, what about these people on these groups How I can tap

into them and market to them?If you go to https://www.facebook.com/ads/manage/

powereditor/ and click the Ad Tools menu, we can go to the

Custom Audiences Dashboard (You can do it too from the Ads

    Manager)

    4. Fill the data, upload your file, agree with the terms and wait

until your audiences fully uploads to Facebook (youll get a

notification when they are ready to use)

How to Get Custom Audiences from a Facebook Group:

In order to do this, you need a Facebook Scrapper, here are the

    two that I recommend:

    - http://audiencemakr.com/ by Ryan Deiss - $47

    - http://ironcloudmedia.com/slf/ by Ali G and Marcus Lim - $97

Get that one that fits your needs, I use both of them and both of

them are GOOD. And both of them can be used as a desktop app for

    Windows or Mac.

Ad Design: Image, Headline and Copy:

The Formula for a good ad?

    1. A good image, forget the big boobs images, or showingcash photos from stock images. Either use your face, or make an

image like the Sales Insanity example. You can use the infamous

red borders for your ad, but not limit yourself to just the red, try

with yellow, blue and green, and split test all your images.

    2. The headline of your ad, try to either use a benefits likethe No More Product Launches ad example, or Work With Frank

Kern example. Another thing you can do is to do your ad with a

    question:

    3. The ad body copy, either pre frame and pre sell yourself

or tell what your product/bribe is all about. Include call to actions

like Click to See, Click to Buy - $XX, Click for Info, Apply Here

    4. Look professional, think like a direct response marketer, try

to pre frame or pre sell your product. And always zig when others

    zag ;)

A GOOD image (even better if it uses pattern interrupt - see Get

bullet points (see Mario Brown Page example), and use the 3 stepscopywriting formula:

    1. Heres what I have

    2. Heres what it will do for you

    3. Heres what to do next

Creating Your Ad Using the Power Editor:

Creating an ad with the Power Editor its pretty simple actually, heres what you need to do:

    1. Create your campaign (Select the name, Buying type - I

recommend Auction - and Your objectives)

    2. Then create your ad sets and write down your daily budget

and the dates when it will start running and when it will stop(you can leave it running and pause them by yourself)

    3. Then proceed to create your ads, by doing the creative, the

audiences and the optimization & pricing.

    4. Af er creating your first ad, instead of doing the manual

process again, just duplicate the ad. That way you can changethe image or the headline quickly (or change whatever you

want faster, instead of creating the ad again). A f er doing this,

dont forget to upload the changes.

    Heres what I recommend:

    - Create multiple ads to split test the image- Create multiple ads to split test the countries (United States,

United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and, New Zealand - this varies

    depending to you)

    - Create multiple ads to split test audiences

    - Create multiple ads to split test the headline

    A good landing page:

Having a good landing when doing Facebook ads (or anyadvertising, actually) is to have the page to match your ad.

This means your headline from your ad should match the

headline on your landing page. This is usually the most important

aspect when it comes to advertising and your landing page, the

headline is what grabs their attention, so if the headline is not goodenough or dont match the ad, they probably wont even read the

    rest.
