Titusville YMCA

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Friends of the Titusville YMCA,

For over 100 years, the Titusville YMCA has been helping our community reach its full potential

with programs and services designed to build the physical, mental, and social aspects of good

health. We believe the Titusville YMCA is a true asset in our community and has been a vital part

of fostering youth, individual and community well-being.

The Titusville YMCA announces its second capital campaign within the past 5 years. In 2014, the

goal of raising $2.2 million and moving into a renovated and newly constructed Wellness Center

was realized. The focus of the previous campaign was to move out of our outdated 100 year old

building into a newer, more accessible facility with additional program space to better serve our

community’s needs.

The YMCA’s current campaign will allow us to continue to serve the ever-changing needs of the

community. This project will expand our wellness center to include a child watch area, a youth and

teen activity area and exercise studios for continuing our health and wellness initiatives. It will

also include a pool addition with expanded locker room space, which will allow us to once again

offer aquatic programs, such as swim lessons, aquatic exercise classes, and adult and family pool

time. In addition to the two expansion projects, a new parking lot will be added offering twice the

current parking for our members and guests.

This capital project will enable our YMCA to be a full-service facility that meets the needs of our

community. We are passionate about the good work of the Y and proud of what we do each and

every day. We thank you for your past, ongoing and future support. We invite you to learn how

you can help us complete this worthwhile expansion, which

will aid in continuing the cause-driven work of the YMCA.

| TITUSVILLE YMCA OVERVIEW WAYS TO GIVE |

REMEMBERING THE PAST

The YMCA of Titusville was established in 1912 and has been an ever growing part of

Titusville’s heritage and an important asset in the community. On May 20, 1912 a

Campaign to raise $75,000 for a new YMCA building was launched by Titusville community

leaders. The campaign headquarters were located in the Commercial Bank building. The 7

day drive ended early on the 5th day, as $90,000 had been raised.

The YMCA continued to serve the community in the original building for 102 years until the

current facility was opened on June 16, 2014.

CELEBRATING THE PRESENT Our newly renovated building has enabled us to serve many more members due to increased

accessibility and our ability to expand the programs that we offer. We have welcomed 957

new members and 474 new program participants since we opened our doors on June 16,

2014. New group fitness programs have been introduced to attract beginning,

intermediate, and advanced level participants as well as seniors. Our wellness center has

trained staff available to set individualized workout plans and to offer ideas on how to

reach new fitness goals. Our healthy lifestyles café offers healthy snacks, smoothies, and

soups and sandwiches.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE The Wellness Center Expansion will allow us to continue to serve our families and youth with

increased and dedicated space for child watch, youth, teen and family activities, exercise

studios, and a 3 lane indoor pool for water safety, fitness and fun. This is our final phase

of the expansion to make us a full service YMCA facility and the finishing touch is you!
