CASE STUDY: When FreakNight Festival emerged in the mid-90s, it existed solely on traditional marketing and word of mouth.
With the turn of the Century came the introduction of digital marketing, and that’s where The Firm Media comes in.
When presented with the name “FreakNight Festival,” our digital media team was tasked with constructing a
unique online persona with only a handful of pre-existing ideas to utilize. The ultimate goal was to personify the
“FreakNight Festival” brand.
The Firm Media set out to create an overarching theme through visual storytelling that was representative of the
appropriate tone of voice of this brand extension. From here, the design team at The Firm collaborated with the
marketing team to identify the characteristics of FreakNight as its own brand entity. The imagery illustrated a
haunted carnival look, which needed to echo the intended voice and tone. The next step was to attribute
emotional characteristics to personify this design. The Firm Media was tasked to create the living embodiment of
this Festival through appropriating the proper tone and voice throughout the editorial, social, and advertising
content creation.
THE BRIEF:
Deliver a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to increase engagement, brand awareness, and conversions.
THE DETAILS: With the limited time horizon, The Firm Media created an integrated marketing strategy that combined social
engagement, content creation and syndication, social contests, and creative design to encourage brand
awareness, build brand resonance and ultimately drive revenue.
THE RESULTS: With less than two months until the event, The Firm Media crafted a compelling multi-platform content strategy,
across both web and social, in conjunction with digital advertising, which ultimately drove engagement and
revenue.

THE BRIEF:
Paradiso is a another impressive example of what is achievable with access to The Firm Media’s full-
encompassing suite of services. From concept of design, tone, and theme, to social media management, digital
advertising, and more; The Firm Media’s fully comprehensible suite of services has no limits of what it can
accomplish. Paradiso is one of North America’s largest two-day and two-night destination festivals, incorporating
on-site camping and boasting an attendance of 25,000+ per day.

IMPACT:
One key way to validate brand messaging as being impactful is often through the tracking of
page metrics. These metrics, while often the only reliable validation, generally only represent a
quantitative approach.
Tasked with a key objective to convey health and safety messages, The Firm Media created
original content to be syndicated across a variety of mediums. This resulted in a high
percentage of “message” resonation, which was communicated to our Live Event On-Site
Colleagues by patrons and staff of our client.

CASE STUDY: Life In Color, is a production and promotions company that stages more than 200 concerts annually in the United
States and Internationally. From a small college event to a world-renowned live concert, Life In Color transports
fans into the ultimate mind-blowing, head-bumping, and heart-pumping experience! Featuring the world’s biggest
DJ’s, soaring aerial acts, stilt walkers, contortionists, and fire shows…leading up to the ever so famous PAINT
BLAST!
THE BRIEF: Life In Color faces strong competition in a growing landscape of competitive music festivals. Life in Color
differentiates itself from its competitors by offering a unique festival experience unlike any other and by utilizing
their marketing partners’ expertise on this Global brand tour.
THE RESULT:
The Firm Media was able to capitalize on the momentum of
this global brand and execute a targeted cross-network
campaign which led to an amazing 1,308% return on
investment from Life in Color’s advertising spend. This high-
yielding result from converted revenue was due in large part to
a combination of captivating visual imagery, creative ad copy,
and excellent market segmentation and targeting.

CASE STUDY: Das Energi is Salt Lake City’s largest, annual dance music festival with an average attendance of 7,500 dancing
music aficionados per-day. This indoor/outdoor festival features multiple music stages with full concert production
including pyro cannons, world class artists, LED walls, live performers, a vendor village, and much, much more.
The electrostatic energi of this festival radiates throughout the city and The Firm Media is thrilled to be part of it.
THE BRIEF: Das Energi is another example of the benefits of long-term/consistent marketing and branding efforts. The Firm
Media offers full social, web and design services for V2 Presents, with 5+ years of longstanding business. This
long-term approach has resulted in the maturation of what was once a small brand name, Das Energi Festival, into
Utah’s largest multi-day dance music festival.

CASE STUDY: Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. Enhanced by
state-of-the-art lighting, pyrotechnics and sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers and
next-generation special effects, these events captivate the senses and inspire a unique level of fan interaction. The
quality of the experience is the company’s top priority.
THE BRIEF: Insomniac events was utilizing the Firm Graphics for the majority of all digital and print collateral required for their
events. Upon an internal analysis of their existing social channels, the Firm Media identified an under utilization and
brand fragmentation that needed to be addressed.
The Firm Media proceeded to activate their master brand channel as the central hub of the wheel supporting all
the differing brand segments. Thus, a content strategy was developed, approved, and deployed which treated the
individual channels as independent extensions of the overarching master brand with a surgical focus on the
specific channel offerings. Through this strategic approach, The Firm Media was able provide increases in
engagement and fan growth across all channels year over year.

Through creative and compelling copywriting, visually stimulating
imagery and individualized tones per brand channel, The Firm
Media was able to increase monthly active users from 200% to
300% across all brand segments year over year.

CASE STUDY: Global Dance, AEG Live, and Live Nation team up together to provide the Global Dance brand extension of
Decadence NYE. This event is one of America’s Largest New Year’s Two-Night Dance Celebration with an
estimated 20,000+ person attendance each night.
THE BRIEF: Global Dance is a great example of what is achievable when The Firm Media can deliver our full-encompassing
suite of services. From concept of design, tone, and theme, to web development, content strategy, Social Media

CASE STUDY: The Firm Media loves to be on the ground floor when a new product, service, or even an entire business is

CASE STUDY: First Gear Skid School (Denver, CO). A pioneer in defensive driving education, offering classes to drivers of any skill
level, background and profession. With an innovative platform coupling both safety-based curriculum and
experiential training, First Gear Skid School offers its students’ a combination of theoretical information and
practical experience. Their training services deliver skills and knowledge to drivers at all levels of experience, with
the application of an international system known as SKIDCAR™ and a safety-based curriculum to teach skid
control and driver safety all year round!
THE BRIEF:
First Gear Skid School partnered with The Firm Media to advance their brand presence through digital advertising
and a social media consultation. After speaking with the client, The Firm Media set out to uncover various market
segments through social advertising. We utilized a variant testing that covered specific demographics,
psychographics, and interests in a geographical radius.
THE RESULTS: Once the market segments were identified, The Firm Media
developed a visual and copy strategy. Upon deployment of this
advertising campaign, The Firm Media identified a strong
segment that was compounded with a geographical weather
pattern. This real-time advertising adjustment increased brand
response and web traffic by 1000% and unique user visits to
97%, ultimately driving conversions and first-time enrollments..
