the four living creatures say amen hallelujah

Rev. 19:4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God, who sits upon the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelujah! Psa. 106:48 Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel, From eternity to eternity. And let all the people say, Amen. Hallelujah. PSALM 5:11 “But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee.” “Ever shout for joy”—not once a day or once in a while, but ever. You may say that this is a little too much, but this is a psalm. You may say it is wild, but David said it is poetic. Have you ever shouted? How about today? What does it mean to shout? To shout is not to call or to cry in a mild way, but more or less in a wild way. Sometimes, if not all the time, you must shout to your dear wife, “Hallelujah!” Sometimes in the meetings some of the brothers must shout, “Hallelujah,” or “Amen!” Sometimes when you are saying, “O Lord, O Lord,” it seems that you are not getting through to touch the Lord. If you will raise your voice and shout from deep within, “O LORD! O LORD!” you will break right through and touch the Lord. Ev en the demons and the devil are afraid of our shouting. Do not be so cowardly. Sometimes when you say “O Lord” in a mild way, it really works; but sometimes it does not work and you must shout, “O LORD, AMEN, HALLELUJAH!” The Old Testament saints experienc ed this. If they shouted, how much more must we shout! SPEAKING FOR THE LORD IN THE MEETINGS An experience I had in a meeting of the church in Los Angeles in 1968 illustrates the fact that all believers can speak in the church meetings. On a certain Lord’s Day morning I had the deep feeling that I should stand up and speak. I stood up, but I did not know what to say. Eventually, I told the saints that we all can prophesy, that we all can speak for the Lord. I went on to say that at least we all can speak fo ur words. At this point I said to myself, “What four words? What words will you encourage the saints to speak?” Then I went on to say, “We all can speak these four words: ‘O—Lordamenhallelujah.’”  After the meeting, I began to consider what I had said. At first I thought that I had been mistaken regarding the sequence of these four words. I said to myself, “You spoke these words in the wrong sequence. Instead of saying, ‘O Lord, amen, hallelujah,’ you should have said, ‘O Lord, hallelujah, amen.’” But as I considered the matter further according to the Scriptures, I realized that Revelation 19:4 says, “And the twenty -four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God, who sits upon the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelujah!” According to this verse, “amen” comes first, and “hallelujah” follows. I was confirmed that the sequence in which I had spoken these four words was correct. I believe that I was led by the Spirit to point out to the saints that we all can say, “O Lord, amen, hallelujah!”  The words “O Lord, amen, hallelujah!” can be uttered in different ways. We may speak them strongly and loudly, or we may utter them slowly and quietly. Surely all the saints, from the youngest to the oldest, can speak these four words, especially in the meetings. The more the saints speak something for the Lord in the church meetings, the more living the meetings will be. THE FOUR LIVING CREATURES Not Dead, But Living Today's Christianity always likes to have a quiet service. If you would like to have a quiet service, you had better go to a cemetery. That is the quietest place because everybody is dead and buried. But we must be noisy. Only those who are living can make noise. Even if you offered a million dollars to the dead ones and asked them to be noisy, they could not do it. We must be living. We must be noisy because we have experienced God as the wind and the fire with the blowing and the consuming. How can we be quiet? We cannot be quiet because we are the real living creatures. The word "living" in Hebrew has the same root as the word "life" in Genesis 2, where it refers to the tree of life. How can we, the creatures, become living creatures? By experiencing God as the tree of life, we will have something living within us. A living element, a living factor, will be in us. This living thing within us will continually make us living.
