GeneGendlingavebirthtoFocusing-OrientedPsychotherapyintheearly1960s.Histhinking,hiswriting,hisapproachtotherapyandhisverybeinghaveinspired,challengedandnurturedusforalltheyearssince.Hisworkandhislegacy,bothpsychologicalandphilosophical,notonlyanimateourwork,butilluminateourlives.Hehasleftusmanygiftstocarryforward.
WehopethatourgatheringthisyearwillnotonlybeatributetowhatGenehasalreadygivenus,butalivingforwardofhisworkinus--acollectiveexplorationofthelargerdimensionattheedgeofthinkingthathehashelpedustofind.Andthatinthedaysaftertheconference,wehopethateach
