• Cloud Networking: Tying Cloud Computing and Network Virtualisation together.
• Network of Information: Shift of focus from network nodes to information objects.
• Open Connectivity: Efficient use of multi-path, multi-protocol and multi-layer networking – over any fixed and mobile networks.

Socio-Economics Overview
• Identification of socio-economic trends (intangible, business and regulatory aspects) and how they may impact on the business related to the future networks.

• To understand the success factors and limits of the current business models, and to identify the potential evolution scenarios.
• To understand what are the potential bottlenecks for the new entries to the business of the future networks, and how those bottlenecks could be avoided by the regulatory policies and actions.
• To give feedback to the technical design of the SAIL concepts.
