4K, also known as Ultra-HD, is a screen resolution format that displays significantly sharper images thanthe current, well known ‘HD’. The new screen resolution is called “4K” because the images are around4,000 pixels wide.
Sony have a major stake in 4k from Sony Pictures in Hollywood to smaller consumer electronics such ascameras and televisions. These sets are being billed as the next big jump in TV-watching and Sony are bringing the growth of this format into all areas.
In terms of specs, an image at 4K resolution boasts 8.3 million pixels, which is four times the number of a 1080p image. That means the image is significantly sharper and you can get much closer to thescreen before being able to discern the individual pixels. It also means you can cram more content ontoan individual screen–on a 4K computer monitor, for instance, it’s easier to have multiple windows open at once and have them still be readable.
Figures from Futuresource Consulting notes that “shipments of 4K sets hit 11.6 million in 2014, which is up 700 per cent compared to 2013.”
Futuresource’s David Tett said “4K adoption is forecast to grow quickly from 2015 onwards, withover 100 million shipments projected in 2018, representing 38 per cent of the total TV market.”
One way in which Sony are bringing 4k software to life is through editing software. The software allows users to export and share videos using 4K technology, on YouTube, social media or at home on a television.

Details on the campaign portion of thishugely anticipated game still remains cloakedin secrecy, but it has been announced that a Halo TV series, produced by StephenSpielberg, will air to coincide with thegame’s launch later in 2015.
The Xbox One exclusive will include severalnew moves and enhancements from previousgames in the series. Some of these weredebuted to fans during Halo 5’s hugelypopular post-Christmas multiplayer beta test,such as the improved Thruster Pack, whichnow allows players to move in any direction.
Elsewhere, fans can get to grips with thesupremely fun new Ground Pound move,which allows airborne players to slam downand cause massive damage on any enemiesin the vicinity.
Other new moves include Clamber, whichallows players to quickly haul themselves upwhen near a ledge.

Smart Scope, however, provides a new aim-down-sights zoom function that appliesto all of the game’s weaponry. Each weaponwill benefit from a different degree of zoom, and give varying tactical pros and cons alongthe way.
Developer 343 Industries has also promisedthat Halo 5: Guardians will run at a silkysmooth 60 frames-per-second. Thecompany’s general manager Bonnie Ross saidat E3 that Halo 5 will "take full advantage ofthe power and flexibility" of the Xbox Oneand deliver a truly next generation gamingexperience for all shooter fans.
