The next tri-county clubs’ picnic will take place on Sunday – food, friends, fun!

Here’s the text of an email from Sean Branigan, President of the Broward Club:

This coming Sunday, June 4th is the Tri-county picnic from 10:00AM to 4:00PM at TY Park, Pavilion #9, 3300 N. Park Road, Hollywood, 33021 - 2 blocks North of Sheridan Street on Park Road. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person or $8 maximum per vehicle. Take Sheridan Street west off I-95.

The clubs from Miami, WPB & Broward will bring the main dishes. Members are requested to bring a side dish or dessert. Members may bring their own beverages but glass bottles are prohibited in the park. There will be a raffle & bingo with prizes. (Prize donations gladly accepted.) Members are encouraged to bring samples of their work or collections to show, trade or sell to other members.  

We are having a special sale of Fred Stern's collection and lapidary equipment.  There are beautiful mineral specimens, cabbing slabs and faceting & cabbing equipment, including a jeweler's workbench & torch equipment.  Please view the attached photo to get an idea of what is being offered.  All of the proceeds from this sale will go directly to Fred's widow, Lillian Stern.  Sean will accept cash or credit cards.  This is a great time to buy the equipment you've wanted to have !!
