    WHYTHEMOUSE?

    JustwhytheGermanswantedtotryoutsuchamonstrosityastheMouseisaquestiontobeansweredbypoliticalandpropagandaexperts.Whereassuchaheavytankmightconceivablyhavehadsomelimitedmilitaryusefulnessinbreakthroughoperations,itwasnoprojectforNaziGermanyexperimentationin1943,1944,and1945.FornotonlydidGermanauthoritieswastetimeofengineersandproductionfacilitiesonthetwotestmodels,buttheyevenwentsofarastoconstructaspecialflatcarforrailtransport.
