OUR UNION WITH CHRIST

I Corinthians 6:17

King James...But he that is joined to the Lord is ONE

SPIRIT.

H.J. Shonfield...But he who unites himself with the Master

forms a single spirit.

Living Bible...But if you give yourself to the Lord, you and

Christ are joined together as one person.

Everything God the Father wants you to be, He put in

Christ Jesus, and then He drew you into union with

Christ (the Anointed One).

John 12:31-33

King James...Now is the judgment of this world: now shall

the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up

from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said,

signifying what death he should die.

In the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, God pro-

duced a man so holy, so righteous, and so sanctified that a

holy, pure and righteous God could live in him.

I Corinthians 3:16

King James...Know ye not that ye are the temple of God

and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Our Father God annihilated—destroyed the old man you

were. He was crucified, died, and buried (he does not exist).

We are a new kind of man.

II Corinthians 5:17

King James...Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a

new creature: old things are passed away, behold, all

things are become new.

Williams...For if anybody is IN UNION with Christ, He is

the work of a new creation.

Good News...When anyone is JOINED to Christ, he is a

new being.

A new being that is totally united to the resurrected, glori-

fied Christ…

I John 4:17 says, “as He (the Christ) is, so are we in this

world,” (NOW)! Whatever condition Jesus Christ is in, we

are in the same condition in our new man.

Everything that is in Christ, is in YOU!

...I am the Vine, ye are the branches.

Jesus the Vine is the Source of everything that is in the

Branch (the new kind of man).

Galatians 2:20

King James...I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;

yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now

live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who

loved me, and gave himself for me.

Noli Translation...I have been crucified with Christ. It is

not my old self, but Christ himself lives in me.

Distilled Bible…”I consider myself as having died and now

enjoying a second existence, which is simply Jesus using my

body.”

The Christ (the Anointed One), the One with the ability of

God lives in US, just like he lived in Jesus of Nazareth. We

are the PHYSICAL BODY of the Anointed One, Christ Je-

sus.

I Corinthians 12:27

King James...Now ye are the body of Christ.

Ephesians 5:30

King James...For we are members of his body, of his flesh,

and of his bones.

WE ARE THE FLESH AND BONE CHRIST IN THE

EARTH.

I John 4:4

King James...greater is He that is in you, than he that is in

the world.

Philippians 4:13

King James...I can do all things through Christ…(the

Anointed One who lives in me).

Ephesians 2:10

King James…For we are his (God, the Father) workman-

ship, created in Christ Jesus…

Jerusalem Translation...we are God’s work of art, created

in Christ Jesus.

20th Century Translation...We are God’s handiwork, creat-

ed by our UNION with Christ Jesus.

As new creatures in Christ, we are exactly what God the

Father wanted us to be. He made it so in Christ.

Romans 8:29

King James...For whom he did foreknow, he also did pre-

destinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he

might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Knox…All those who from the first were known to him, he

has destined from the first to be molded into the image of his

Son, who is thus to become the eldest-born among many

brethren.

Barclay...For long ago, before they ever came into being,

God both knew them and marked them out to become like

the pattern of his Son, for it is his purpose that his Son

should be the first and eldest of a great family.

Conybear...to be made like the pattern of his Son.

S.E…God wanted them to become just like his Son.

Jerusalem...and intended to become true images of his Son.

JESUS WAS THE PATTERN, THE PROTOTYPE OF

GOD’S NEW CREATION NATION. GOD CREATED

HIS NEW MAN (THE MAN THAT’S BORN AGAIN)

FROM THE ORIGINAL PATTERN — JESUS CHRIST.

You are everything God wants you to be in your inward

man.

CREATED BY GOD

Ephesians 4:22

King James...That ye put off concerning the former conver-

sation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceit-

ful lusts;

Barclay...divest yourselves of that old personality, which

was characteristic of the way in which you used to live, and

which was rotting away, seduced by its own desires.

Ephesians 4:23

King James...and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

Smith...be renovated by the spirit of your mind.

Renovating and renewing involves tearing down the old and

replacing it with the new.

NOTE the next verse…

Ephesians 4:24

King James...And that ye put on the new man, which

“after” God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

These verses say that we must put on the new man in our

thinking. We must think like God has made us.

We were created like God, by God, in righteousness, and

true holiness.

I John 3:7 says you are righteous even as He (Jesus) is right-

eous. II Corinthians 5:21 says we were made the righteous-

ness of God.

Let’s read again Ephesians 4:24 from other translations…

Wuest...and that you have put on once for all the new self

who after God was created in righteousness and holiness of

truth.

Arthur S. Way...and that you must clothe yourselves in the

new humanity that has been created in God’s image.

Hudson...put on the new humanity, which has been created

in the righteousness and godliness that springs from the

truth, to resemble God.

We have been created by God—so righteous, so holy, so

sanctified, that our holy, righteous Father God can make his

home in us.

Ephesians 2:22 says we were built for a habitation of God.

I Corinthians 3:16 says we are the temple of God.

Hebrews 3:6 says “but Christ as a Son over his own house;

whose house are we.

The Almighty God that revealed Himself through Jesus

Christ, NOW wants to reveal Himself through you. Paul

writes to the church at Galatia…

Galatians 1:15,16

King James...But when it pleased God, who separated me

from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, to re-

veal his Son in me.

The proof of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is that

He is still revealing himself in the earth through his body,

the church.

Revealing Himself in LOVE—giving hope and blessings

which includes divine healing.

As I was ministering in Alabama in July 2001, a 93 year old

woman’s ears were opened. Jesus is alive and revealing him-

self through his physical body– the church, in whom he is in

union with.

I Corinthians 6:15

King James...Know ye not that your bodies are members of

Christ?

I Corinthians 6:17 in the Living Bible Translation says, if

you give yourself to the Lord, you and Christ are joined to-

gether as one person.

Made one by God, there is a total union—the Vine and the

branches are one.

WHATEVER IS IN CHRIST IS IN YOU!

Colossians 2:9,10

King James...For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the

Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him which is the

head of all principality and power.

20C,v.9…For in Christ, the Godhead in all its fullness

dwells incarnate; and by your union with him, you also are

filled with it.

Amp,v.9...for in Christ there is all of God in a human

body.In Christ you too are filled with the Godhead! Father,

Son, and Holy Spirit, and reach full spiritual stature.

Living Bible, v. 10...so you have everything when you have

Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with

Christ.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST STANDS ALONE IN BEING

THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD PAY THE PRICE FOR

OUR REDEMPTION.

But in Jesus’ earthly ministry, as our example, we have put

our Lord in a category all to Himself and said no one could

reach that goal.

John 14:12

King James...Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth

on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater

works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

God the Father has created for himself a new creation peo-

ple, made in God’s image and likeness– just like Adam

(Genesis 1:26). This new man that God has made, is made

from a perfect pattern—the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus is now our elder brother. Romans 8:29 says Jesus is the

first of many brothers –like himself.

ETERNAL LIFE

In the Greek Language, in which we translate our Bible into

English, the words Eternal Life are AEONEOUS ZOE.

AEONEOUS ZOE—ETERNAL LIFE, means LIFE in the

ABSOLUTE—it is the life and nature of Almighty God; it is

the substance that makes God God.

Eternal Life—Zoe is the substance that made Jesus different

from any man when He was here in the earth.

John 1:4

King James...In Him was LIFE (Zoe); and the life (Zoe) was

the light of men.

Jesus revealed the Father.

John 14:9

King James...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father.

John 5:26

King James...For as the Father hath life (Zoe) in himself; so

hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.

Jesus took no credit for the miraculous works He did. He

said in John 14:10 “the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth

the works.”

God’s life (Zoe), the Spirit of God, the Anointing was within

and upon Jesus the Christ, enabling Him to do mighty works.

Jesus said in John 10:10 “I am come that they might have

life (Zoe) and that they might have it more abundantly.

Wade Translation...that they may have life, and have it in

fullest measure.

Beck Translation...I came so that they will have life (Zoe)

and have it overflowing in them.

Jesus said in John 3:3 “you must be born again”, other trans-

lations say “you must be born from above or re-Fathered

from above.

I John 3:9 says when we are born from above—born of God,

God’s seed remains in us.

We have God’s life, his nature, God’s DNA in us. We have

inherited our Father’s life and nature, His ability (Philippians

4:13).

Jesus said in Mark 16:18 that the believer is to lay hands on

the sick and they shall recover. Why lay hands on the sick?

Because our hands act as booster cables to transmit the heal-

ing life of God.

John 7:38

King James...He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath

said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of LIVING WATER—

(Zoe, Life-giving water). 8

We are in total union with our God through a common sub-

stance—Eternal Life—Zoe.

TESTIMONIES

One of our church members was diagnosed with an incura-

ble kidney disease. By the laying on of hands and transmit-

ting Zoe, God’s life, she was totally healed.

A lady brought her Mother from McGehee, Arkansas. She

was a diabetic on insulin for 25 years. The prayer of faith

was offered and she was totally healed by our God.

A man who had polio from his youth had a built-up shoe.

One leg was four inches shorter than the other one. God

grew the short leg out to the same length as the other; he

could no longer wear his built-up shoe.

I could list hundreds of miraculous healings that we have

seen the Master, the Lord Jesus Christ, do through us, by the

laying on of hands.

DO YOU KNOW THE NUMBER ONE REASON THAT

JESUS CHRIST CAME TO EARTH?

John 10:10

King James...I am come that they might have life…(Zoe-

God’s own nature).

I John 4:9

Phillips...To us, the greatest demonstration of God’s love

for us has been his sending his only Son into the world to

give us life through him.

Wade...God’s love manifested itself among us in this

way...sending His only Son on a mission into the world, that

we might have Life through him.

New English...He sent his only Son into the world to bring

us life. 9

GOD’S LIFE—ZOE—that is in us, makes us God-men, with

the resurrected, glorified, Christ living in union with us.

Now what Jesus the Christ has in Him is in you! God made

it so—In Christ!

The body of Christ needs to know who they are and what

God has (past tense) made them in His Divine Process, the

death, burial, and resurrection.

We are in union with Almightiness.

THE ANOINTING

Isaiah 10:27

King James...And it shall come to pass in that day, that his

burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his

yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed be-

cause of the anointing.

We that teach faith say the anointing is the burden-

removing, yoke-destroying power of God. The anointing is

the ability of Almighty God upon man.

The Greek word for Christ, Christos, means the anointed one

or the one who has received the supernatural power of God’s

spirit. Jesus was anointed when he was about thirty years of

age, when he was baptized by John the Baptist in the river

Jordan.

Luke 3:21-22

King James...Now when all the people were baptized, it

came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying,

the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a

bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from

heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am

well pleased.

Jesus began His healing and deliverance ministry after the

Holy Spirit anointed Him.

Luke 4:14-21

King James...And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit

into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all

the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues,

being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he

had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into

the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet

Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the

place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon

me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the

poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach

deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the

blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the

acceptable year of the Lord. (the year of Jubilee). And he

closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat

down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue

were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This

day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus told those Jews that He was the Messiah—the Anoint-

ed One, who was sent to set them free.

Jesus was actually saying, “I have the ability of God.”

Acts 4:27

King James...Whom thou (God the Father) hast anointed.

Acts 10:38

King James...How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the

Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good, and

healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was

with him.

We see all through Jesus’ ministry here in the earth, that He

had the ability of Almighty God, that removed burdens and

destroyed yokes. The Anointing (the ability of God on man)

will still remove burdens and destroy yokes. Glory to God

our Father!

II Corinthians 1:21

King James...Now he which stablisheth us with you in

Christ, and hath anointed us, is God.

God’s plan for his family was that they would be a family of

anointed ones. The Apostle Paul, in the letter to the Colos-

sians wrote that God gave him HIS PLAN AND PURPOSE

for born-again man.

Colossians 1:25

King James...Whereof I am made a minister, according to

the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to ful-

fill the word of God.

Paul said this revelation will fulfill the Word of God.

Colossians 1:26,27

King James...Even the mystery which hath been hid from

ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his

saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches

of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is

Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Christ, the Anointed One, living his life through you—that’s

the hope of glory! Revealing himself—demonstrating him-

self through you—Christ in you.

The miraculous is the proof that Jesus is alive; that he has

been raised from the dead and that he is the same yesterday,

today, and forever ( Hebrews 13:8).

When I was in the Philippine Islands, I preached to a very

large crowd. I told them before I preached to bring someone

that was sick to the platform. I told them that I would

demonstrate the Resurrected Christ to them. I said this in

faith, knowing my God. They brought a blind man, Jesus the

Christ (the one with the ability of God) opened this blind

man’s eyes. I gave the invitation for the lost to receive Je-

sus. As far as I could see they came and received.

The life of God, the anointing of God, flows when you un-

derstand that it is not I, but Christ that lives in me—he

works through me. Galatians 2:20 says, I live by the faith of

the Son of God.

We have the God-kind of faith.

Romans 12:3 in the King James version says that we have

the measure of the God-kind of faith. We have the measure

of the God-kind of faith that built the universe. The kind of

faith that never fails. Hallelujah!

I John 2:20

King James...But ye have an unction from the holy one, and

ye know all things.

Wade...But you, in your part, have received from the holy

one a spiritual anointing conveying enlightenment.

NAB...You have the anointing that comes from the holy one

so that all knowledge is yours.

We have received the anointing of God—the ability of God

(Philippians 4:13) and the Anointed One—Christ lives in us.

I John 2:27

King James...But the anointing which ye received of him

abideth in you.

God has made himself a nation of anointed ones (Romans

8:29—Jesus, being the first one). 13

Galatians 3:27

King James...For as many of you as have been baptized into

Christ (at the New Birth) have put on Christ (the Anointed

One—the one with God’s ability).

You are NOW more than a conqueror through Him (Romans

8:37).

THE NEW BIRTH

II Corinthians 5:17

King James...therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new

creature…

Being born again is being born coming from God—it is be-

ing born out of God’s being—it is changing fathers.

I John 3:9

King James...whosoever is born of God…

I John 4:6

King James...We are of God…

I John 4:7

King James...born of God

I John 5:1

King James...Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is

born of God.

Cotton Patch Translation...Everyone who recognizes that

Jesus is the rightful ruler has been fathered by God.

You are born again with God’s genes—His DNA.

I John 5:4

King James...Whatsoever is born of God over cometh the

world: and this is the victory that over cometh the world,

even our faith. 14

Phillips...For God’s heredity within us will always conquer

the world outside us. In fact, this faith of ours is the only

way that the world has been conquered.

Barclay...Because to be a child of God is to be victorious

over the world, and the victory which conquers the world is

our faith.

When you were born again you received your Father’s na-

ture—Almighty God’s nature. In God’s nature is absolute

faith—now we must learn how to use it.

Romans 10:17 in the King James Version says NOW faith

comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Other

translations say, FAITH is inspired by hearing the Word of

God and FAITH is awakened by hearing the Word of God.

Your God-given, God-kind of faith is inspired to speak and

act as you find the Word of God that covers what you need

or what you are believing for.

God has created “In Christ” Christ men, that are full of faith.

The kind of faith that will change any situation.

OUR FATHER LIVES IN US

I John 4:12

King James...No man hath seen God at any time. If we love

one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in

us.

Phillips...God does actually live within us.

I John 4:15

King James...Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son

of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Amplified...Any one who confesses (acknowledges, owns)

that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides (lives, makes his

home) in him, and he (abides, lives, makes his home) in

God. 15

Williams...Whoever owns that Jesus is the Son of God, God

remains in union with him and he in union with God.

These are enough scriptures to set your heart ablaze—to in-

spire you to jump and praise God for who and what he has

made you– a God-created Christ-man.

You are NOW a man or woman who is unlimited by any

force, because the God that is in you is unlimited.

Philippians 4:13

Jerusalem Translation...There is nothing I cannot master

with the help of the one who gives me strength.

NAB...in him who is the source of my strength, I have

strength for anything.

Maltby….United with him who empowers me, I have

strength for every situation.

Barclay...He who fills me with his dynamic power has made

me able to cope with any situation.

WE ARE LIMITED ONLY BY GOD’S LIMITATIONS—

WHICH ARE NONE!

When you begin to understand what God Almighty has done,

and who He has made you, you will begin to refuse doubt

and unbelief and you will use your God-given faith to claim

everything in your redemption, which is redemption from

sin, sickness, and poverty.

SONS OF GOD

Romans 8:29

King James...For whom he did foreknow, he also did pre-

destinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he

might be the first-born among many brethren.

According to W.E. Vines Expository Dictionary, the word

IMAGE means to represent and to manifest. 16

We the church, the body of Christ, are to represent Jesus

Christ by revealing and manifesting the resurrected, glorified

Christ. We are to reveal and demonstrate Jesus Christ in

love, joy, peace, faith, and in laying on of hands for divine

healing—transmitting God’s life and demonstrating the mi-

raculous.

John 1:12

King James...But as many as received him (Jesus) to them

gave he power to become the sons of God…

The word son in this verse is the same as used of Jesus of

Nazareth. God has made sons on the same order as our Lord

Jesus Christ.

I John 3:2

King James...Beloved, NOW are we the sons of God.

What kind of sons did our God create (Ephesians 2:10)?

What kind of pattern did God use to create His sons? The

pattern—the Master Copy—the mold was Jesus the Christ.

When you place a master copy in a copy machine it will du-

plicate the master. Jesus, the first born of a whole family of

brothers, is the Master Copy.

This New Creation Nation that God has created is full of the

God-stuff (Zoe). We are full of His love (Romans 5:5) - His

power (Acts 1:8)- His joy and His fruits ( Galatians 5:22-

23).

I Corinthians 6:17 says we are one spirit with the Lord. You

do not have two spirits. Your spirit and God’s spirit are unit-

ed and made one Spirit.

Remember, when doubt and unbelief comes to your mind,

our God is not in union with doubt and unbelief. Faith is of

the heart. In your heart you have absolute faith—the God-

kind. It is impossible to doubt in your spirit.

Galatians 4:6

King James...Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the

spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba Father.

ABBA FATHER—Daddy God—Hallelujah, my new Dad-

dy!

Romans 8:14

King James...For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,

they are the SONS OF GOD.

We are sons, made out of and created in Christ Jesus.

II Corinthians 6:18 says I will be a Father unto you, and ye

shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

God has created a nation of human beings like Christ.

I John 4:17

King James...as He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world…

That verse is present tense, it means NOW, while we are still

in this world. God now has a people that he has Fathered,

that has His genes. A people that can do all things through

Christ.

God has created Christ-men!
