KINGDOM  FAMILY

A  group  of  people  connected  together  because  of  their  commitment  to  a  common  purpose  –

i.e.  a  primary  commitment  to  do  what  will  fulfill  the  revealed  purpose  of  God.

Page 16: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

KINGDOM  FAMILY

A  group  of  people  chosen  for  you  by  your  experience  of  revelaUon

The  people  you  connect  with  by  living  out  fully  what  you  have  seen  of  God  and  his  purposes  revealed  by  the  Word  and  Spirit.

Page 17: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

KINGDOM  FAMILY

People  you  find  the  way  to  mesh  with  by  a  work  of  the  Spirit  of  God  with  along  the  pathway.

not  the  people  who  you  are  like,  the  people  who  like  you,  the  people  you  fit  with,  who  share  all  the  same  opinions,  who  make  you  feel  comfortable  (i.e.  tribe)

Page 18: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

KINGDOM  FAMILY

The  people  who,  when  you  get  connected,  enable  the  kingdom  of  God  to  come  in  some  sphere  of  influence.

Not  the  people  who,  no  maBer  how  long  they  are  together  will  never  see  the  kingdom  of  God  advancing.

Page 19: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

WHO  ARE  MY  ‘KINGDOM    FAMILY  ?’

•  What  is  the  will  of  God  for  this  sphere?  •  Who  are  the  people  who  have  seen  this  and  have  this  revelaDon  in  their  hearts?

•  Who  do  I  need  to  connect  with  so  that  the  kingdom  of  God  will  come  in  this  sphere?

Page 20: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

WHO  ARE  MY  ‘KINGDOM  FAMILY?’

Don’t  let  the  ‘natural’  rob  you  of  the  ‘spiritual.’

The  process  of  discovering  your  “kingdom  family”  is  a  key  part  of  the  redempUve  plan  of  God  for

•    your  life,    •    their  life  and    •    the  lives  of  those  people  who  will  experience  the  kingdom  because  of  because  of  this  “family.”

Page 21: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

WHO  ARE  YOUR  ‘FAMILY?’

in  your  domesUc  sphere  in  your  neighbourhood  sphere

in  your  workplace

in  your  community  involvement

in  your  extended  family

Etc.

Page 22: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

HOW  TO  BUILD  ‘FAMILY’  RELATIONSHIPS

•  Begin  to  live  out  what  you  have  discovered  through  revelaUon.

•  Get  a  picture  of  what  God  wants  to  do  in  the  sphere.

•  Share  what  is  in  your  heart  with  other  believers.  •  Begin  to  pray  and  plan  on  the  basis  of  what  you  can  see  together.

•  Trust  God  together  no  maner  what  happens

Page 23: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

KINGDOM  FAMILY

 =    UNITY    =    ONENESS

Page 24: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

“Who  are  my  mother  and  my  brothers?”      34  And  he  looked  around

at  those  who  were  siZng  and  said,

“See,  here  are  my  mother  and  my  brothers.      35  For  whoever  does  the  will  of  God

is  my  brother  and  my  sister  and  my  mother.”

Page 25: The Gospel According to Jesus: Session #16

What  had  God  revealed  about  what  he  wants  to  do?

Who  wants  to  do  that?

This  is  the  kingdom  family  anywhere  at  anyUme.
