Marketing Your Ministry

Marketing your ministry is crucial to fulfilling the Great Commission as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20

18 Then Jesus came to them and said “All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to me.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. NIV

How do we Market our Ministry?

Acts 1:4-8 4. On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he

gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you heard me speak about, 5. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit;” 6. So when they met together, they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the Kingdom to Israel?” 7. He said to them; “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the Earth.” NIV

1.Preparation A. Take time to prepare

Acts 1:12-14 “Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day walk from the city. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying; Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Phillip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.” NIV

2. Equip and Train Your People

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” NIV
