The grace of God in all its truth- part 2 11.09.14 Sunday Service MessageTRANSCRIPT
John 1:17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:6that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth.
“CHARIS” - GRACE Appropriately, the free unmerited
love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him.
GRACE also means receiving God's blessings we don't deserve.
1. The Grace of God in our Salvation2. The Grace of God in our
Development and Transformation3. The Grace of God in our Service
and Ministry4. The Grace of God in our Needs
and Prosperity
2.)The Grace of God in our total Development and Transformation
a. EVERYTHING YOU ARE AND YOU HAVE IS GOD'S
GRACE
1Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I
am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the
grace of God that was with me.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Genesis 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.
(NLT) Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way. This all happened on the sixth day.
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
b. YOUR DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSFORMATION IS
POSSIBLE BY GOD'S GRACE
2Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient
for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
KJV2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a
new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
NLT2Corinthians 5:17 What this means is that those who
become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
2Corinthians 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect[1] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
(GNB) All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces; and that same glory, coming from the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his likeness in an ever greater degree of glory.
GRACIOUS SPEAKINGColossians 4:6 Let your conversation be
always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
(AMP)Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].
GRACE OF GOD IN PREVENTING BITTERNESS TO
HAVE A PLACE IN YOUR HEARTHebrews 12:15 See to it that no one misses
the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
(CEV) Make sure that no one misses out on God's wonderful kindness. Don't let anyone become bitter and cause trouble for the rest of you.
GRACE OF GOD TO LIVE IN PURITY
Jude 1:4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
c. YOU BECOME AN EXPERT IN YOUR CALLING BY GOD'S
GRACE1Corinthians 3:10 By the grace God
has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds.
CONCLUSION:2Corinthians 6:1As God's fellow
workers we urge you not to receive God's
grace in vain.
