CAUSES OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION
¡ Stock prices peaked in September 1929
¡ Black Tuesday – October 29, 1929 – the stock market hit bottom
¡ Investors lost everything ¡ Those who bought on the
margin accumulated huge debts
¡ People were jumping out of windows of tall buildings
¡ Only impacted about 2% of the population, so America went on
