What Are Waterfalls ?Waterfalls were made in the Ice Age by Glacier.
When a huge chunk was taken out of the earth by the gallons of water rushing down.
Waterfalls are a stream of gushing , river, water that flows over the edge of a cliff.
Victoria FallsThe Victoria falls is the largest waterfall in the world. They are located on the Zambezi river , on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe in Africa. They are 108 metres high and 1.7 kilometres wide. They were discovered by David
Livingstone in 1855.He named it after Queen Victoria. The natives call it ‘The smoke that thunders’ .

The Niagara FallsThe Niagara Falls are actually made up of 3
waterfalls . The American Falls , The Bridal Veil Falls and The Horseshoe Falls.
The Niagara Falls are located on the border of Canada and America. They are 51 metres high. During peak flow , about 170 litres of water.
In 1901 a school teacher called Annie Edson Taylor went over the falls in a barrel.
On June 30th 1859 Jean-François Gravelet walked across the falls on a tight rope .
