that it’s for per capita. Members who passed away this past year were Johnny Van, Iner Osgood

and Thongdy Sisavath. Our transition team is: Chairperson Kirke Ryder, Amy Wittman, Jane

Bies and Wes Michael. Please pray for them as they work with Presbytery staff to plan next steps for pastoral leadership.

Please pray for the Pastoral Nominating Committee who have been

diligently working on the call for a new Pastor. Committee members are: Bruce Deadman, Ross Early, Loni McCormick, Nancy Blashka, Lisa Olson, Bob Nickel, Tom Schoffelman and Amy Wittman.

The Christmas Toy Shop will be collecting new (or very, very gently used)

toys for any age from November 1-30. The Chr istmas Toy Shop will be held on December 10 during pantry. You may also donate money or write a check to Pantry and indicate in the memo line “Toy Shop” and Jane Bies will shop for you. The Outreach Committee Ministry provides a complete Christmas for

three families from Tank School, and we collect all the items needed from November 17 - December 20.

Each family receives blankets (which we already have) and a complete

Christmas dinner. We will have three trees in the back of the sanctuary with tags identifying special gifts for our Baby Jesus, Star, and Angel families. Please feel free to take as many tags as you'd like - just put the tag on an UNWRAPPED gift and return it to the church. The Youth Group will wrap all the gifts during their sleepover December 20-21. We need three family coordinators. Please let Stephanie Fahringer know if you can help!

Christmas Pageant Practice will begin on Sunday, November 24 at

9:15 a.m. and will be held every Sunday through December 22. There will also be practice on December 14 and December 21. Time to be determined.

A joint Thanksgiving Service with First United Presbyterian of De Pere

will be held on Monday, November 25, at 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Pastor Luke Farwell will be the guest Pastor.

The Advent Workshop will be held on December 1 following worship.

There will be chili, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cookie decorating, a Stu-Bear Craft and wreath-making.

The Griffon String Quartet will be performing with the choir on

December 15. They are also scheduled to per form a concer t on December 14 in our sanctuary. Concert time is 7:00 p.m.

On Sunday, January 5, our morning worship service will include a

Christmas carol sing similar to the favorite hymn sing we enjoyed in August. A sign-up area will be located outside the Choir Room. Because of the anticipated number of carols selected, we'll use just the first verse of each. Sign-up will run from November 3 through December 8.

The nobodies that our society all too often overlooks and under serves. We pray that You open our eyes and our hearts to these people that we can see them as you do- as the Somebodies that are your children. The Somebodies- defined in this world- as people of importance or authority- we pray for those in positions of power and influence, whether that be in government or business. We pray that they will lead with grace and empathy and work for the betterment of the nobodies. That they use their power in a way that is inclusive and promotes unity. That they fight against segregation, oppression or division. We pray for those that are somebodies in the eyes of the nobodies. That these somebodies may see themselves as those with power and influence. May they realize their purpose to include and accept the nobodies. Everybody-defined in this world- as every person- We pray for our members- young and old, we pray for those who are sick or healing, that You would continue to provide them strength, courage and comfort. We welcome families with children and infants to worship. Worship bags with activities are available for children in the narthex. If your child becomes uncomfortable during worship, please feel free to leave the sanctuary and return at an appropriate time. Our nursery is room 207.

Assistive Listening Devices are available for the hearing impaired. We have two kinds: ear speakers and neck loops (for T-coil compatible hearing aids). Speak to the audio person for help.

We ask guests (and members) to sign our friendship pad. Guests please include your address and phone number. If you are sitting at the end of your pew, please tear off the sheet and place it in the collection plate. We greatly appreciate your assistance.
