for next year, please get your name in early. Contact a club officer for available dates.

Bob Wilcox Most of you know Bob, he was a

member of the Maryland Chevelle Club and was a participant in every Chevellabration. Bob had one of the nicest red 68 Chevelles around. He

always made some of the fasted runs at the drag strip every year at

Chevellabration. He always had time to stop and talk with anyone. We will

miss you Bob.

HEART OF DIXIE CHEVELLE CLUB’S CHARITY DONATIONS FOR 2011 We have many generous members who contribute their time and resources to support our club. As a

result of their generosity, we are able to contribute to charitable organizations each year thus giving back to our community and helping others in appreciation for our good fortune. Through club sponsored events & member donations, the Heart of Dixie Chevelle Club raised $5200 for our current fiscal year ending October 31, 2011, and has designated the following charities to receive donations.

A SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT TO ALL WHO HAVE MADE THIS POSSIBLE Big Oak Ranch (www.bigoak.org)

Big Oak Ranch is a Christian home for children needing a chance. If you know us, you’ve heard us say that before. Because that’s what we offer - a chance. To find a normal life. To find God’s love. To find that we are all more than our circumstances - we are what we have the strength to become. National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org)

The National Kidney Foundation, a major voluntary nonprofit health organization, is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by kidney disease and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation. Royal Family Kid’s Camps (www.rfkc.org) Royal Family Kid’s Camps are the nation's leading network of camps for abused, neglected and abandoned children.

UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center (www3.ccc.uab.edu) The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center team is dedicated to providing the highest quality of life for people diagnosed with cancer, while advancing the world’s understanding of cancer and translating this knowledge into im-proved prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship. Our vision is to eliminate cancer as a major public health problem.

Camp ASCCA (campascca.org)

The Camp ASCCA mission is to help eligible individuals with disabilities and/or health impairments achieve equality, dignity, and maximum independence. This is to be accomplished through a safe and quality program of camping, therapeutic recreation, and education in a year-round barrier-free environment. Our goal is to serve those who can derive maximum benefit from the resident camp experience and provide a healthier, happier, longer, and more productive life for children and adults of all abilities.

The Miracle League at Cypress Mounds (www.miracleleaguecm.org)

The Miracle League at Cypress Mounds is a non-profit organization that makes it possible for children with mental and physical disabilities to achieve the same dream as their healthy peers – to play baseball as part of a team in an organized league! These children get a reprieve from their daily challenges as soon as they step or roll on to the ball field.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org)

JDRF is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime. JDRF is the leading funder and advocate of type 1 diabetes science. JDRF's mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. JDRF is also com-mitted to developing new and better treatments that improve the lives of people with type 1 diabetes in the near term and keep them healthy while we advance toward a cure.
