SALES PROMOTIONS
1956Weshler Sales Promotion, or WSP for short, hits the ground running
with Pom Pom “Secret Seal” Bucks – a 13 week television promotion
featuring Buck Weaver and the Buckaroo 500 TV show. Customers
earned Secret Seal Bucks with every dollar spent, to be redeemed in
the custom rewards catalogue.
1966‘Wonders of the World’ viewfinders hit grocery stores across
North America! Customers received their free viewfinder with
purchase of the series 1 slides, driving them back every week to
collect the set!
1975The games boom! Cash King, Wild Bill
Bingo, Scratch It Rich & Million $ Match
are making winners at supermarkets
across North America.
1986Supermarket customers
from coast to coast get
rewarded for their
shopping with FREE
dinnerware, cookware and
cutlery.
Cades Cove, one of the
most popular dinnerware
programs, was executed in
thousands of stores in
North America and was our
best selling pattern of all
time!
1990Future WSP Team
Member, Mike
Campbell, makes his
game promotion
debut!
At the age of 8, Mike
was the face of the
Sunkist Magical
Mystery
Sweepstakes, his first
and last modeling job.
1992From Garfield to Super Mario,
WSP added wonder and delight
to kids cereals with reflective
stickers, colour changing bowls
and amazing giveaways for now
classic gaming systems like the
original Nintendo and the Sega
Genesis.
1994WSP creates the JELL-O egg mould
and 24 million units later become one
of the most successful promotional
products of all time!
Customers were able to receive an egg
mould for free with the purchase of 3
JELL-O jelly powders. The key to
success was that the egg moulds
increased consumption of JELL-O, as
families were able to create fun and
delicious treats to celebrate the Easter
season.
Remarkably, the egg moulds increased
Kraft’s market share by 6.2%
sustained!
2003Zig when others zag. WSP is Cruisin’ to Win with Irving Oil, a
promotion that set the standard for modern day game
promotions with millions of Instant Prizes, huge ‘wow’ Collect
prizes, and our very first online contest microsite.
2013WSP reaches an
exceptional milestone:
5 million online entries in
an 8 week promotion
across computers,
smartphones and tablets.
Massive participation
online has helped us build
our clients’ CRM
databases and social
media followers.
2016
In 2016 alone, WSP has managed over $29 million in prizes, generated over 17 million
online entries and produced over 3.2 million units of valued added promotional products.
