Charlton Heston's Beverly Hills home goes on the market for the first time priced $12.25 million

The Oscar-winning actor lived in the hilltop estate in Los Angeles until his death in 2008 at the age of 84.

Construction began in 1959 for a total cost of $150,000, while Heston was filming Ben-Hur, and he and his family moved in after filming ended.
