present 'Palaash' which unwinds itself and brings up exhilarating

platform of contributions by academicians and vibrant students to

say the best. We have also endeavored constantly to instill quality

education to our students and the fruits we reap through our

students to unleash wide spectrum of creativity blended with

ethos of moral values and principles. We all want this to be a

model for academician. There is no longer a single pathway to

success but only efforts bring out the best of it. If innovation and novel ideas are a key to a bright future, then we can

surely remain assured of ICFAI's place under the pedagogic sun. We put forward a distinctive blend of offering in

the areas of knowledge and enterprise in the form of encouraging students for activities like debates, participations

in seminar, contest as well as organizing and talking part in various cultural events, mingle with also extra-

curricular activities. It would be wrong not on our part to mention our Ph.D scholars and their contribution with

their zeal to present their scholasity and invoking others too to follow.

Highlights . . .

Last few months have seen a variety of exciting activities at our University.

It is a matter of pride for all of us that most of the graduating students of 2018 got very good campus placements in reputed organisations, like Concentric, ICICI Prudential, Karvy Mutual Funds, Reliance Energy, One India Family Mart and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The credit for this goes to the concerned students as well as our faculty members that have groomed them. It was equally gratifying to note that eight of our graduating students started their own ventures, thereby becoming Job Creators, rather than Job Seekers.

During 2018-19 academic year, our University introduced two law programs, BBA-LLB and LLB, on receipt of approval from Bar Council of India and we received excellent response for both the programs. Our University continued to attract talented and experienced

thmanagers from reputed organisations like Amazon, Infosys, JBVNL, M&M etc for our 7 batch of PhD Program (Part time) on Management. Our MBA program for Working Professionals continues to draw excellent response. Our faculty and PhD scholars continued to excel in research and publications.

A number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like seminars and debate competitions were conducted for all-round development of our students. Some of our students demonstrated their creativity in designing innovative Engineering models like Drones as well as developing software in cutting-edge technologies like Block-Chain. A number of our students not only participated in the external competitions but also excelled and got awards of recognition.

Our university continues to discharge its responsibility to the Society, by way of conducting remedial classes to the under privileged school students, active participation in Swatchh Bharat Mission , conducting Blood Donation Camps etc.

Placement Season for 2019 has just commenced and the initial indications are that placements may be better than last year. While all of our students are intelligent, they need to put in more concerted efforts to get selected in the highly competitive and demanding job markets. Our university will continue to support them in this endeavour.

the globe. A forty five minutes presentation made by Abhishek was widely appreciated and applause by the Hon'ble

juries' panelists and the Engineers gathering.

A National Seminar on “MINING INDUSTRY : Opportunities and Challenges” was held at IUJ, wherein the participations discussed on the issues like opportunity for the Mining industry and challenges faced with regard to technology as well as management .Special Secretary-cum- Mining Commissioner, Govt. of Jharkhand and Director ( Personnel), Central Coalfields Ltd was the Guests of honour. The objective of the seminar was to benefit the Students that are pursuing Mining Courses, Mining Engineers, Managers from Mining industry, Equipment manufacturer, Designers, Policy makers, Planners, Entrepreneurs, Academicians, administrators, Geo-environmentalist, scientists, technologists and other Stake holders etc.

The blithe or the dolour???

From the time we enter this world till we are carried off by the death, we come across many relationships in our lives. Some are just for a while, some deceive us and some leave us when we need them the most and some are with us because of their self-seeking attributes. But the one being that surpasses the care, affection and love of everybody for a person is the “Mother”.

Currently I'm living in hostel to purse my graduation so I didn't have the latest pic of me and my mom. But I swear with each passing years, our relationship is growing more beautiful that a heart can hold. Once incident I would like to share with you all, when I was in ninth standard I scored a poor marks in math's just below the expected level of mom and dad. I somehow managed to speak it out then they told me are you joking, how is this possible. Literally the statement was "Don't try to fool me, I know your real potential, you are among top five ranker of your class". I saw the confidence she was having in me, a believe that I can't score poor marks. At that very moment my tears rolled down my cheeks, I couldn't carry the pain my heart was holding. She came closure to me, holded my face in her palm and then hugged me. She told me this is not your final destiny and one small failure in class test can't beat your true potential. You will score high and achieve great. That very day, I realized only she know me better than anyone. Today also she know everything about me after listening my voice she can explain my state of mind and since childhood I used to share everything to her. She reads my mind and identifies the Strom which is inside it. Just I want to thank you for always teaching me the right from wrong. Your constant guidance has taught me so many things over the years. Whether it was deciding what I want to do when I grow up or choosing the right outfit to wear to a party. For always being there for me when I needed you , teaching how deal with your friends and enemies , for your unconditional love , for your blind trust on me , for being a role model of your daughter. Thank you so much mom from bottom of my heart for making my life beautiful life. Last but not the least you are fuel of my life. And my words are less to express my gratitude to towards as it is much more beyond it. Happy mother's Day not only to my mom rather all the mom in this world.

About IU JharkhandThe Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Jharkhand popularly known as The ICFAI University, Jharkhand was established under sub-Section (2) of Section 4 of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Act, 2006 (Jharkhand Act 08, 2007). The University is recognised by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956 and is empowered by UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

The University is committed to creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing, and developing a new cadre of citizens with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct. The Academic Council is responsible for all academic matters.

The University currently offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in management and Bachelor's programs in Engineering, Commerce, Science & Technology, Law and Diploma Program in Technology (Polytechnic).

All programs offered by the University have contemporary curriculum, in-line with the latest developments and as per the changing requirements of industry.

In order to provide hands-on skills to the students, Internship / Project in industry is mandatory part of all programs.
