Yes, I know this idea is difficult to believe. Forgiveness makes the heart exposed not to harm againbut to healing. So a handful of us met for the very first time in July 2009. This says it all: Forgivenessis correction of the head.

A form of this happened during the original separationwhen, for a moment, you forgot to dismiss what could not be true about yourself and made ajudgment instead.

The hardest pill to swallow was noticing how negative I was thinking about myself and my body andyet I had no idea how to change my thought patterns. I could say pretty little mantras all day longbut I knew if I didn't really believe them I wouldn't get anywhere.

It is the purpose of the Course to lead our minds out of preconceived beliefs and ideas which hinderor better yet blind us to our innate Being. It is a course in mind training, a course in distinguishingcauses and not effects. When we give power to effects, which is the outside of things, we arepowerless to make changes in our circumstances. By focusing our attention on cause we become co-creators and are more aligned with our natural abilities.

Scott Turow is the kind of writer that can tell those stories. I first "read" his seminal novel PresumedInnocent in the car. I picked up DU (as it's often referred to by it's readers)and was literally engulfed from the moment I started. issues, and how they could be seen differently through the Course. I finished DU in about a weekand picked up a copy of Your Immortal Reality.

Having begun the process with judgments of your brother, they could only show your ownjudgments, fear and guilt about you if absolutely all the Laws of God are Truth. Now you know whythe ego cherishes separation. Choosing to see (perceive) a brother as yourself ends separation and isthe end of chaos.
