The Indian Game Theory Society - DTU OVERVIEW The student team of The Indian Game Theory Society, DTU Chapter has been performing well in a short span of time since its formation in 2016. The team consists of undergraduate students from multidisciplinary background working under the guidance of faculty advisor - Dr Nand Kumar, Head of Department of Humanities, DTU. It is a matter of pride for the students of IGTS-DTU to represent our college at different platforms and work efficiently towards achieving our goal. GOALS 1. Promotion of concept and practical applications of Game Theory and Strategic Thinking . 2. Aim to start our chapters in universities and colleges all over India, and getting more and more students interested in Game Theory.

Theory Society - DTU

OVERVIEW

The student team of The Indian Game Theory Society, DTU Chapter has been performing well in a short span of time since its formation in 2016. The team consists of undergraduate students from multidisciplinary background working under the guidance of faculty advisor - Dr Nand Kumar, Head of Department of Humanities, DTU. It is a matter of pride for the students of IGTS-DTU to represent our college at different platforms and work efficiently towards achieving our goal.

GOALS

1. Promotion of concept and practical applications of Game Theory and Strategic Thinking .

2. Aim to start our chapters in universities and colleges all over India,

and getting more and more students interested in Game Theory.

Events and Activities planned for 2018-19

1. Regular academic sessions on Game Theory with students of college.

2. “Catch Them Early” Program

3. Organising our flagship event “Stratazenith” in various colleges

like IITs and IIMs.

4. Hosting an array of events pertaining to the ideology of Game

Theory in the technical fest of DTU, Invictus.

Complete Details of the Event performed during the

year 2018-19

IIT BOMBAY

The Indian Game Theory organized its flagship event “Stratazenith” at

the IIT-Bombay TechFest’17 held from 29-31 December 2017.

There was participation of around 150 students and the event came out to be a great success. The organising team consisted of 5 students from IGTS-DTU chapter.

IIT Kanpur

The Indian Game Theory Society in collaboration with Techkriti, IIT Kanpur organized its flagship event, “Stratazenith” on 16th and 17th March 2018. The event was attended by around 120 participants who all gave a positive feedback for the event. It was a resounding success due to the hard work and organizational capabilities of the IGTS team. The organising team consisted of 6 students from the IGTS-DTU chapter.

IIT Delhi

The Indian Game Theory Society in collaboration with Tryst, IIT Delhi organized its

flagship event, “Stratazenith” on 24th February 2018. The event received an

overwhelming response of around 100 participants.

The organising team consisted of 6 students from IGTS-DTU chapter.

DTU

The Indian Game Theory DTU, organised its flagship event Stratazenith along with Nashify, War Of Wits, Ultimate Tic Tac Toe and Kryptos2/3 on 12-14th February 2018, during Invictus, the annual techfest of DTU. EVENTS ORGANISED: 1. Stratezenith

The Indian Game Theory Society conducted STRATAZENITH 4.0 which was an Exhilarating Experience based on THE ART OF STRATEGY MAKING. It consisted of enthralling sessions of mind-games where each team plays to their strengths and to their opponent’s weakness to maximize their profits.

2. Nashify

It consisted of a knockout style tournament, and consisted of various small team-based games. The team with the highest score after all the games, wins.

3. War Of Wits (WOW)

It consisted of tricky puzzles and brain teasers that tested participants’ problem solving skills.

4. Ultimate Tic Tac Toe (UTTT)

In this various variations of Tic Tac Toe were prepared that tested participants’ analytical and problem solving skills.

5. Kryptos2/3

This was an online event conducted by INDIAN GAME THEORY SOCIETY, and received an overwhelming response from the participants.

NSIT

The Indian Game Theory Society DTU, in collaboration with The Finance And Economics Society of NSIT organized its flagship event STRATAZENITH 2K18 at Consilium, NSIT Business Conclave.

With enthusiastic people, racing their minds to make it to the finals, and a participation of around 15 teams, the event at a whole went successful. Event was conducted on 3rd February 2018 at Netaji Subhash Institue of Technology (NSIT).

SRCC

The event was organised in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Cell,

SRCC with the motive of promoting game theory and strategic thinking. Students had to

participate in teams of 2 and the event consisted of a preliminary round where in top 6

teams out of 15 teams were shortlisted for the final round.

Event was conducted on 13th January 2018 at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC).

IIM Ahmedabad

As the year progressed, Equipoise, The Economics Club of IIM Ahmedabad, which is not

only the one of the oldest but also top Management Institute of the country, invited us

to conduct our flagship event. The Indian Game Theory Society in collaboration with

Equipoise - The economics club of IIM Ahmedabad, organised Stratazenith on 25th

February 2018 at IIM Ahmedabad.

IIT Delhi

The Indian Game Theory Society-DTU, in collaboration with Tryst, IIT Delhi organized, StrataZenith on 27th February 2017. The event received an overwhelming response of around 100 participants.

DTU

The Indian Game Theory Society-DTU conducted series of events during the

annual TechFest 2K17 held at our university.

IIM Rohtak The Indian Game Theory Society DTU participated in the Management conclave organized by The Indian Game Theory Society- IIM Rohtak and Supply Chain and Operations Management Club IIM Rohtak on 14th October 2016. The team consisted of 6 members from DTU.
