gan Spinosa then proposed a
rule change to
LAC46XL.113A.8. This pro-
posed change would add an
expiration date to all back-
ground checks. The Board
unanimously approved the
proposal. All background
checks will expire 365 days
after being issued.
Later, Board Chairman, Gor-
don Atwell appointed Mike
Burroughs to the Education
Committee, where he would
serve as Co-Chairman with
Joc Cook. Mr. Atwell also
combined both the Education
Committee with the Laws and
Rules Committee and will
require the committee to an-
nounce future meetings a least
2 weeks prior to the scheduled
meeting date.
The Board meeting was later
adjourned by Chairman, Gor-
dan Atwell at 1 p.m.
(see page 2)
A motion to permanently al-
low LIVE STREAMING CE
to count as in-person/
classroom CE, failed by a 3-3
vote. This decision came after
much debate, discussion and
careful considerations by both
the public and the Board.
Beginning June 5, 2021, Live
Streaming counts toward the
10 allowed hours for online
delivery as it is currently out-
lined in our rules
(LAC46XL.121B.8)
The board also discussed the
reselling of home inspection
reports. After much debate,
Ashley van der Meulen mo-
tioned to add verbiage to sec-
tion 123A of the administra-
tive code stating, “All reports
shall reference one single in-
spection and shall not be re-
sold for any reason.” The mo-
tion passed by a 4-2 vote.
