Three subjects at higher level (HL) 240 hours
Three subjects at standard level (SL) 150 hours
Three core requirements – Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

A two year programme
Involves students in a range of enjoyable and significant experiences outside of the classroom chosen by the students themselves
Students maintain a log to record and reflect on the activities they undertake
Reflects the sort of holistic education QMC has always delivered
CORE - Theory Of KnowledgeA two year course about critical thinking and inquiring into the process of knowing

Examines how we know what we claim to know
Assessment involves:A presentation on a knowledge issueAn essay from a list of 6 prescribed titles
CORE - Extended Essay
An independent, self-directed piece of research ending in a 4000 word academic essay
Enables students to investigate a topic of special interest that they have chosen themselves
Students work alongside a supervisor for guidance and support
Assessment
Students gain a 1 to 7 in each subject (6 subjects)
Possible total of 42
Extended Essay & Theory of Knowledge combined gains a mark of 1 – 3

AssessmentA Diploma will be awarded to students who:
Gain a minimum of 24 points
Gain a minimum of 12 points from their Higher Level subjects and a minimum of 9 points from their Standard Level subjects
Gain at least an D in their EE and TOK
Meet the requirements of CAS

• Admission criteria includes total from rank score.• Some examples for entrance in 2017:
- Engineering 260 (33 in IB)- Health Sciences 250 (33 in IB)- Architectural Studies 230 (31 in IB)- Science 165-200, depending on speciality (26-29 in IB)- Commerce 180 (27 in IB)- Arts 150 (26 in IB)
